Went downstairs, put the coffee in and had 3 minutes, to do nothing so I tuned into the Monsters.
I am really not a Mike North hater, I just dont think what he does is good.

North and Jiggs are breaking down their "keys to the Cubs" for the 2nd half.
North enlightened me that if the OF guys of Soriano, Bradley and Fukudome get it together they could sail through the divsion. Jiggs added that if Ramirez and Soto return to 2008 from that could be a key,

It didnt get me angry watching them, but it was like listening to the Anchorman on a News boradcast talk to the Sportsguy, when he discusses the most obvious and general sports information available to the less than casual fan.

FYI, if that's not what they're saying then guys like you would criticise them for missing the true problems with this team.
Soriano, Bradley and the chinaman are playin below potantial. Ramirez is hurt and Soto is not playing good.
They were right.
What else should they have said huh? What is YOUR original thought abotu the Cubs problems?

It is Noon...start your 2nd 12 pack.

I'm the last one to defend MITM....but I listened to AM1000 & WSCR at lunch today and they were all basically saying the same thing. It is pretty idiotic and so obvious what they are all saying...but they are filling air time until games pick up again. I mean a 5th grader could offer the same analysis....which would still be superior to any so called "wisdom" Nort has to offer.

Sometimes I wonder why Chicago even has 2 sports talk radio stations & a regional sports network when there aren't any games to report, let alone talk about for hours at a time...This is truly the slowest time of the calendar year for actual sports.

And now you know why ESPN has the ESPYs and the Jimmy V Foundation day on such a day.

But North has not been entertaining since about 2001

Which is why I can't understand why anyone would be dumping on Bruce Wolf.
The guy is sarcastic and funny as hell, and he can be serious when he wants to be.

How much painful blather about Soriano and Uncle Miltie can we listen to unless it is presented in an hysterical way?
