Today Bruce Levine on Baseball365 had Jimmy Piersall on, after the lovefest, Bruce said that he always felt that Jimmy was better suited for a 2 spot of his own, maybe with a cohost, but not with 7 or 8 minute segments. Piersall said that it's a good station, blah blah blah, but it doesn't help when the other guy you're talking to doesn't know baseball and giggles at everything you say (Bruce agreed with him). Geez...everyone beefs with Murph, even though he's a Cub fan, I like his show, and feel bad for the guy. Piersall comes off as an idiot as well so I think he should kiss his ground he's in America and not need a license to talk |

agreed, but when Murph's guy jimmy comes down on him, you really KNOW that he's disliked. |

It does indicate something about how people feel about Murph. On the other hand I saw Jimmy the other day yelling at a light pole. I don't think Levine is a beloved figure either. |

OK, all summer I heard Mr. Piersall defending Corey Patterson and ragging on the fans who criticized him. And Bruce Levine simply parrots other people's opinions and ocassionally "leaks" a story handed to him by an insider, and even then he's been wrong at times. So, I'm considering the source here. "They shoulda brought in that, ah, that ah, that left-hander... Remington, is that his name? Rem... Men... Menlinger.. is that it? Menlinger." |
