....the two of them should be up for "Who you crappin?" Thursday after that one today.

Mac, love you man; but for a guy like Mike who prides himself as being edgy, and out there, and glorifies the mafia the way he does; one who quotes 'If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying' whenever he can; you honestly think North wouldn't go along with something if he knew it wasn't legit? He might not of felt it was going to turn into what it turned into; but he certainly isn't a saint.

I know he's your friend; but I think if you said (which I believe Meatpants try to throw out there during the discussion) "I hope he didn't" you would of been right to think that. We don't want to ever believe people we know and like capable of doing something like that; but Mike hasn't always been the most honest of individual over the years.

Frontman,

Just how does North "glorify" the Mafia?

And what do you know about Norths honesty?

Kirk, stop your "boy in the bubble" routine when it comes to North.
If he thought you had the money to invest in one of his wild eyed ventures, he would kiss your ass and shake you by the ankles for every possible dime.
You sound like an ass kissing Hernandez without the Ponzi scheme.

North things the Mafia is a bunch of good guys looking out for each other, and has said so on the air.

And North's honesty? Beyond his whole "200 charities" and his "four or five good investors lined up?" You need more?

How about the whole 'act' he put on after Bebe made cupcakes to bring to the White Sox, two days before he was trying out for Imus? In wrestling, that's known as a 'work' and when you act dishonestly; your credibility comes into question.

North's fibs/lies/half-truths have been covered ad nauseum on the board for over a year, Scorehead. If you want to keep believing what you want to believe; fine. But to me, North has made this bed, and his actions post-Hernandez's arrest is also what got this lawsuit going with some vengence.

People who were out of thousands of dollars got to see the guy who was the posterchild for this scam (Hernandez pulled it off, but it was North's name and face everywhere you looked when it came to selling the concept of Webio.) And when that face is all over the TV, talking about how good life is, and how he's going on vacation, and his quasi-daughter is going to high-priced high-fashion boutiques?

Those people out that money want it back. North and Jiggs got sued as they are the up front guys in all of this. Can't really sue Jesse Rogers and George Offman (who also probably didn't do the Norths any favors about how this money was spent lavishly) but they sure as shit can sue the guy who has the house and the cars and the vacation homes and the rest to get back what they feel they deserve.

Frontman,

Here is Exhibit A.....Live on the air.....
Johnny "Quarters" Boyle......
Johnny already did time for stealing $2 million from the tollway.
Johnny was arrested in Operation Silver Shovel.....
Johnny was an operator..had fingers in a lot of pies....he also was part of a "political organization" with an epicenter at Addison and Harlem.....he also was seen a lot with some of those "politicians" at places like Gianotti's on Cumberland and Lawrence.
Johnny Boyle pleaded guilty, again, in Federal Court.
Somehow, some folks from Addison and Harlem managed to get him a job with the City of Chicago after he already had done Federal time....wonder how that happened....and he became a real All Star Defendant once more in Silver Shovel.
"Quarters" went to Taft, but somehow got a Ph.D in Public graft and corruption.
The day of the plea or the day after, your hero, Mike North, went on the air telling everybody that "Johnny Boyle is no rat"! "He ain't gonna talk to nobody 'bout nuthin"! and on and on.

I ASK YOU......WHO IN THE LISTENING AUDIENCE WAS MIKE NORTH SENDING A MESSAGE TO?
You, Big Fan, Grid, Mac, Jurko and Harry??????

Do you read John Kass, or stick to National Review?

I know Harlem and Addison isn't exactly Batavia...and you probably never dined at Franksville.....

Mike North did have some balls sending his message that day, I'll give him that....seems he certainly does "know peepul who know peepul".

Last I heard "Quarters" was at Leavenworth.......I think the camp, not the Big House.

Why would anyone care what the great mac has to say about anything other than Allen Bros?

I think its definitely more of a mac topic than webio. Its similar to the Erin Andrews topic, under your logic shouldn't that be posted in the "other media" topic since that's where Andrews works.

But, its your thread so you can do what you want, but if you want to hear Mac's reaction/response you have a much better chance of getting that in his own forum.

I heard this segment yesterday. To me, Mac sort of came off as a North apologist. I think North is all about North. He wanted to be the big man and was trying to proove it by hiring people away from the station, and industry, he was trying to "stick it to". He found what he thought was a money guy...but did NOTHING to vette him out because he was out for his revenge and to build his North empire. Gag!

Mac basically said he did not think North would "knowingly" do that to the people he hired away. I agree to the extent that North did not want them to lose their jobs & have this shit storm hit like it has. BUT...everything North did was about HIMSELF and thinking he was "bigger" than he was. He is a selfish prick and blow hard!

Mac has been throwing boquets Mike's way for some time now, and I have been critical & questioned that in the past. There must be a friendship and a respect there that I don't get.

Spiegs questioned it a little, but pulled back!
