Why the hell is Matt Rodewald getting more airtime? He even hoset ffor a few hours the other night. Rodewald is about as entertaining as Schuster. Just terrible. Meanwhile, Jason Goff, Drinky & Murph are buried. |

For the record, Matt Rodewald was actually pressed into service this past Friday night after the second game of the White Sox/Tigers' day-night doubleheader on 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com. "Rodie" was NOT originally scheduled to host local sports talk, but was pressed into service when a family emergency forced Matt Abbatacola not to work his scheduled show 10p-12Midnight Friday following the Sox second game. Rodewald & Jason Goff co-hosted a show together this past Sunday 12Noon-3p, thanks in large part to the fact the Sox & Tigers were the "Sunday Night Baseball" game that night. Speaking of Goff, the online schedule at 670thescore.com says that Jason's got an airshift this FRIDAY NIGHT following the White Sox/Yankees' game at U.S. Cellular Field. Goff is tentatively scheduled to hold court live from the SCORE Studios between 11p-1a Friday night after the Ranger's White Sox Radio Network postgame from the Jim Beam Club at the ballpark. |

Are you kidding me? I just took a glimpse at the 670thescore.com schedule, and guess who will be holding court Saturday afternoon between 12Noon-3:30p on 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com? Yeah, the John Clayton-sounding Rodewald & his NBC5 teammate Bruce Wolf are scheduled to host local sports talk before The Ranger's "White Sox Weekly" show leading up to the Sox game vs. the Orioles. Can you say train wreck? |

Listen carefully to how "Rodie" talks...He sounds like the poor man's "Professor" from ESPN. Besides, did anyone noticed the porno-like mustache "Rodie" sported before he was off his NBC5 show last week? |

I just wonder why everytime you mention Matt Rodewalds name, it is always prefaced with "The John Clayton sounding". And the stereotypical phrases like "So & so will be holding court on AM670 The Score, the 24 hour sports talker". Holding court??? Sports talker??? Sheeesh... |

Basically. He fancies himself to be a Robert Feder of sorts because he's into radio and posts on that Chicagoland radio board that looks like it was cutting-edge in 1995, and so he presents all of his thoughts as if they were media gossip columns. That's his bit. However, we're all here because we're into the local radio scene to some extent or another, and yet we don't affect some silly Jackie Harvey voice in our writing, as if we're just a series of press releases or something. It's one character among many here, but at least it can be somewhat explained. There's no logical explanation for IkeSouth. |

I know that he listens to the Radio, & when there is breaking news he posts it here & on the Larz site & thinks that he broke the story. Shark reminds me of the guy that all of us had in our neighborhood who wanted to be a cop & had the decked out bicycle & rode around keeping an eye on everything like he was an officer of the law. |

670 wrote: Shark, Whats on the big AM670 sportstalker tonight? Is the John Clayton sounding Matt Rodewald on the air? The White Sox/Royals followed by "The Grobber", Von Steuben's very own Les Grobstein, as soon as the Ranger wraps up his "Comcast Postgame Show", win or lose..."Rodie" wasn't on the SCORE today, but Brian "The Whipping Boy" Paruch was doing updates during "B & B". Sorry, fans, while other SCORE guys and "Scoreheads" refer to him as "the King", he's still "Whipping Boy" in my book...Brian got an earful yesterday from Ozzie before yesterday's game about all the errors the White Sox defense has been making lately, especially when he mentioned Jayson Nix by name...As for "Rodie", the traffic reports he does with the Jimmy Fallon-looking Rob Elgas & Zoraida Sambolin on NBC5 weekday mornings puts food on his table... |
