Since Hood was able to beg his way back to his old job I was thinking about George. He could have gone back to the Score. Maybe they didn't want him. It was still open 4 or 5 weeks ago. But it looks like they gave the morning update job to Kerry Sayers. She's been doing it for 3 straight weeks. She's probably cheaper than what George was but I'll bet George would have taken a pay cut to get his old job back. |

Yeah, this way he got to double his salary, stay in nice hotels and order jumbo shrimp cocktails from room service while watching the in-room porn on some old lady cancer victim's money for three months. Time of your life, eh, George? |

Amazing to me that offman still gets booked as a "reporter" on Tribune Live - he doesn't report anymore, he is an ex reporter and has no access or insight tan any other non reporter would have |

Ofman, in his delusional world, still thinks Pappy is gonna set up Webio II. He said it was the "Perfect Model" even though webio only made $2,300 in 3 months. |

Good point. How many times would he say "It's not financially possible" when talking Cubs or Sox. He can't apply that finance logic to a business he's been in for 25 years. He doesn't know how his own industry works? He really is a dumb ass. |

Rather than send a reporter of their own, they will pay a guy like George, or Schuster 25-50 bucks per game to file a report for them. I don't know if George is doing this, but he may be. |

This has been a great source of income for Grobber over the years. |

I knew it was over and above salary...but it must be dog eat dog to line up the out of town stations. If Grobber has the relationship with the 20 or so stations that want a live update...probably on the weekends more than during the week, then there can't be much left for the other guys. I can see the resentment building. |

In this day and age of readily accessible information are 3x an hour updates even necessary anymore? I would say just do them 2x an hour during the morning because that is when people are most likely to not have heard the news yet and then stop doing them altogether after about 11am. |

george should just go away, he's been awful since sportsphone. His career in chicago is over along with most that followed the mike. Hopefully, North's career ends soon also. |

Ofman is a mope who has probably been on a lunch money allowance from his wife since Day 1. |

He always wanted to take credit on the story and jumped the gun many times. I thought he was ok when he stuck to doing his job, but when he wanted to be mr. big story breaker is when he came off as really unprofessional. And so did the score. |

It always baffled me that Ofman could have so many flagrant gaffes. He's not some nervous stiff fresh out of broadcasting school who can barely hold his copy because his hands are quivering. He's been a professional broadcaster for like twenty years and he's still lobbing up false headlines and malaprops. It makes no sense. You'd think he would've figured out how to properly report things, or write copy without death-related misplaced modifiers. |
