I think Grobber is saying that Zell has hijacked the Cubs because the team was supposed to be sold and wasn't. The sale of the team is holding back Hendry from making deals.

True about Zell and Ricketts putting the freeze in spending. That is in the contract. I have my peeps too! and was told this was the case. Regardless, they spent enough this year, One player was not going to fix this mess.
