Looks like this year it'll be the late local news and then a short sports show with Adamle. No more extended postgame. I'll miss Laurence Holmes making awkward passes at Paula Faris.

It caught me off guard as well. The way NBC5 did it a year ago was that they did 15 minutes of "Sports Sunday", followed by 15 minutes of NBC5 News with Anna Davlantes & the luckiest S.O.B. in Chicago TV News Rob Stafford with a Ginger Zee weather report to boot. Then, "Sports Sunday: The Postgame Show" was so awkward, from LoHo looking over Paula Faris' shoulder to Lance Briggs looking like he was going to be a bouncer at Crobar to even a Drinky sighting. Matt Abbatacola was on there once with a suit, shirt & tie, but looking as Terry Boers might say "By Cracky!" with a beard... I guess they've revamped things considerably now, starting with 15 minutes of NBC5 News and then Mike Adamle & Daryl Hawks with "Sports Sunday", complete with #99 breaking down the game...
