While I was in Poland, I would wake up listening to the Grobber via the Internet and I have to say - his show is great. Way to go Grobber!

He's always been solid. Hasn't changed much. I like how he's not condescending to his audience, but he will go toe to toe with extreme meatlball dipshits. Love "And for that you suck". 8)

You are right Eaglo, he has been standing up more and more to the meatball callers. His show is a must listen nightly. Since iam on the west coast, i am able to catch it earlier out here online. He is a walking sports encyclopedia. Keep up the great work Les!!

Same here on the thumbs up. Finally got to listen driving home from work late the last few nights. I generally like the dialog, though you get some real winners calling in at that time.

While they've flipflopped the "Dan Patrick Show" and Les Grobstein during the week since the MLB All-Star Game in St. Louis in July, it's actually a good decision by SCORE Management to have "The Grobber" starting his show at a halfway decent hour, 10p Monday-Thursday. Unfortunately for me, I can't stay up to hear the show in its entirety. Besides, because I have DIRECTV and the 101 Network, I can watch D.P. LIVE weekdays at 8a and NOT tune into the tape delayed radio broadcast anymore. In my opinion, it's the best of both worlds. :D

I still don't understand why Mitch has Les starting (never knew a Les Starting in school) :eye: at 10pm or after a Sox game, doing Part 1 of his show with Dan Patrick sandwiched in between and then Les going on for an hour at 4am. :?

Why not have Les go 'til 2am, have the full DP show into M&H? I just don't get this. Mitch?????? Les???? Has this ever been explained?

The original idea I think was for there to be someone live leading up to Mulli and Hanley... hoping that any overnight audience would continue to Listen after 5 a.m. I thought I read that the ratings for Les overnight were not great so they thought they could get better use of him if they put him on earlier.

What I want to know... is the 4 a.m. hour actually life? Does Les hang around the studios during the DP show to do 4 a.m. live or does he just pre-tape that hour or is it a replay of his earlier show?

I do agree he is great.

Les should have his own section on this board.

I third that.

The Dan Patrick Show is irrelevant by the time he gets on. Score Management should admit that there is no room for it. With that, ALL CHICAGO FOR CHICAGO!!!

If "The Dan Patrick Show" isn't going to be on at a halfway decent hour, just watch the show on DIRECTV 101 like I do...Why wait? Also, if anyone was listening to the "Grobber" following the Cowboys' 21-7 win over the Panthers on "Monday Night Football", Les had someone other than himself doing the updates. Connor McKnight, the winner of the "PepsiMax SCORE Search", FINALLY made his debut late last night with the "Grobber". I wonder if McKnight will now become Grobstein's update anchor... :?

I picture Les rifling through the refrigerator looking for any left over free food from the previous day that he could take home during the Dan Patrick hours.

I find myself up at that hour on occasion, and while unfamiliar with his earlier work, I have found Grobber to be an easy listen. Very even-handed and knowledgable.

Mike Vick is even handed.

Two words obviously NOT in Mike Vick's Vocabulary
1) Exonerated.
2) Ambidextrous.

Les Grobstein is way too Michael Jordan ass-kissy.

The Grobber is starting early tonight for a marathon session from 10-5, so I've caught some of his show for the first time since his last overnight Score shift many moons ago.

My first thought is vocally he sounds like Chris Rongey trying to fake a Chicago accent. But as always, he's still the Score's resident trivia expert, and it's a comfortable listen. Perfect for overnights.

These callers are hilarious! They make the trademarked B&B meatball callers sound like rocket surgeons!

Les is a very patient man...

Why the hell does CSWebio still have a section on this board, but Grobber doesn't?

The Grobber was on The SCORE last night from 10p-5a, without any "Dan Patrick Show" interruption at 1a. Tonight, the Grobber does it again, albeit 30 minutes later due to "NIU Live". Thanks in large part to MLB postseason baseball, Les holds court this eve from 10:30p-5a live & local on 670 The SCORE & 670thescore.com. Gotta love it! :D :D
