Early Friday afternoon, it was announced Comcast SportsNet and Licorice LTD, "Monsters" parent company owned by Mike North and his wife BeBe, have decided not to renew their contract. CSN president Jim Corno said the show will continue on his network through Dec. 31.

What this meant, Friday afternoon, the big guys at comcast finally had the head from ass removal operation.
"It's an economic decision," Mr. Corno said. "It's an expensive show to produce. We originally agreed to do the show for a year and see how it would work out. We like the show, but this is part of television. Networks launch and cancel shows every day."

Yes, it was a economic decision, North told us he would bring in big buck sponsers, we got a felon, taxi company and a high school.
For his part, Mr. North thanked CSN and said he is looking forward to other opportunities to continue with "Monsters."
"I'm excited about the future," Mr. North said. "There are other opportunities for us to explore."

Yep, pappy is dwindling down his list of life long dreams, next up......well, he doesnt know, but he is sure it will make him a lot of money and maybe last longer then a year.
The show was initially structured as a partnership between CSN and Licorice. Mr. North's company actively pursued advertising for the show along with CSN, with both entities sharing the revenues.

Yep, minus the 300,000 comcast had to give back, but they are still waiting to see if the american taxi check is going to clear, if it does, Jen gets paid this month.
In June, "Monsters" found itself in the center of the mess stemming from the fallout of Chicagosportswebio founder David Hernandez being charged with running a ponzi scheme. Mr. Hernandez's company, Next Step Medical Staffing, was the title sponsor for "Monsters."

Heys, i donts knows nutting about dat, i iz street wize, buts nots likes dat.
In July, Mr. North managed to find a new title sponsor in Lecet, the Chicago area Laborers and Employers Cooperation.

Yes, a 6 month, greatly reduced agreement that was so huge, comcast is launching the show. Dats great, i can dos tis....idiot.
"Monsters" made its debut with much fanfare in January. It was the first locally-produced morning program to air on a regional sports network. Mr. North said the show is up for a local Emmy.
Quote:
The local emmy is "biggest shitfest ever to last a year".
"We have the best morning show in the business," Mr. North said. "We have a great crew. I hope to take some of them with us, but it isn't up to me."
Quote:
Yea pappy, they will follow you based on your webio venture. Again, IDIOT.
Mr. Corno initially was excited about the concept. Ultimately, though, the bottom line didn't work.
"You take risks and ideas come and go," Mr. Corno said. "I'm disppointed. You always want it to play out longer. Now we'll look at our next venture."
