Was reading the Sun-Times this morning and came across this little tidbit. Thought some would be interested in knowing about it... MOVIE SCHMOOZE: Not surprisingly, the one-and-only Mike North is excited he will be ''shadowed'' Dec. 9 and 10 by Max Allan Collins -- author of Road to Perdition. Collins is being brought to Chicago by producer Carl Amari (''Madison'') as part of a plan for the author to script a film screenplay ''loosely'' based on North's eclectic life experiences. |

Please tell me this is a joke. About halfway down the page... unless there is another Mike North, it appears legit. http://www.suntimes.com/entertainment/z ... 01.article |

Norths life would fit well into a "Behind the Music" type program...Meteoric rise from nowhere --> inflated ego --> break-ups --> embarassing attempts to stay relevant --> last grasp reunion --> career in ruins. |

Hard to imagine Collins would get rooked into something like this. His forte is detective & historical fiction (using known historical events as a launch point for fiction, as Road to Perdition was) |

far more people laugh AT north than with north. the movie should be a short film about staying in school. |

Since the search thread doesn't work we should bring back the "Who would be cast" thread... Tom Arnold as Mike North Reginald VelJohnson as Jiggs Reese Witherspoon as Jen Jen (although she would probably pine to play herself) Traci Bingham as CyCy I forget who was cast as David Hernandez, but someone here had it perfect.... |

I think Mr. VelJohnson is contractually obligated to always portray a police officer. I think you just ask Eddie Murphy to don the suit once more and you have Jiggs. |
