Paula had to pin him on it before he said it specifically. This is the first we've heard it was Virgina looking into it. Hamp said Virginia is close with the Rooney's and she talked to them about him. Why didn't Hamp break this on the Score? Whatever. This was Hub's report a couple of weeks ago. We just didn't know who it was. It was Virginia making the calls. I never knew she was that involved. That's kind of news. |

My sun has burned brighter since they got Cutler. They need to fix the lines. I have no doubt Cowher can put the people in place or make it work himself. Enough with the sexual tension between Spaulding and me. That's not important. Her and I will just have to take cold showers. We're getting off the track of this thread. George Halas's last hire was Mike Ditka...a year before George died. Maybe Ginny wants to hire a mustache out of Pennsylvania before she dies. Only this one has NFL expierence, a great coaching record, 2 Super Bowl apperances with one SB title. Maybe this has been on the QT. Maybe it will hapen. You don't hear any other reports about Cowher going anywhere else. |

Beardown brushing me off... Why would you think Virginia is not involved? She loves this team. This year was a total and complete embarrassment. She knows it needs fixing. Why wouldn't they take a look at some of the coaches out there...the ones with SB rings? |

I just thought she was old and out of touch. I thought she had the final say but I thought she was advised on thing by her kids. I'm shocked to learn that she, herself, makes the calls to potential coaches. That she makes the phone call to people about Cowher.

Spaulding off the top rope in this thread! There is a lot of smoke around Cowher and the Bears, that's for sure. Let's hope there's some fire (and passion!  ) there as well.
