Comcast SportsNet Chicago Hires Jen Patterson

Comcast SportsNet Chicago is today officially announcing the hiring of Jen Patterson as the newest member of its sports news department. Her many responsibilities include coordinating guest bookings for CSN's locally-produced programs, along with feature segment producing and some on-air appearances.

Charlie Schumacher, the Senior News Director for Comcast SportsNet Chicago said this about Patterson: "Jen has proven herself to be a rising on-air and off-air TV talent in our city and we're thrilled she'll be with us to lend her expertise to our newsroom."

Jen Patterson, who has a degree in broadcast journalism, is best known around Chicago as the long-time producer for Mike North's radio, Internet and television ventures. She started working at WSCR as an intern in 2004 and worked her way up to Associate Producer, and eventually, Executive Producer with WSCR's morning show, where she earned the nickname "Jen-Jen the Engine." Her most recent position was that of the Associate Producer and weather/traffic/sports update anchor for Comcast SportsNet's "Monsters in the Morning" program, which just had its final show at the end of last month.

A little known fact about Jen Patterson is that she was the very first intern ever at Chicago's Comcast SportsNet. She now returns there as a proud member of CSN's staff.

Patterson officially begins her newsroom duties this coming Monday, January 11th.
