I will use my own listening habits as the sole ratings for what I care about and I have to admit ESPN is dragging some ass! I just dont even tune in anymore. Danny Mac really stuck it to ESPN after they stuck him. I listen to Mully/Hanley, Then Mac/Spiegs and concluding my day with B/B! I will check out the Saloon on occassion but no often. Now some radio guys can tell me what the actual ratings are now? Then explain to me why the person who thought getting rid of Mac was going to help the station? |

M&H has probably helped too. That noon hour on espn has got to be killing them. I flip over for transition and listen to B&B now sometimes. |

I would think the carrot dangler fears low ratings. Which is a change. Thus, he fears change. |

Trey: With the use of new people meters, ESPN is actually better off today then they were a year ago. If you don't believe me, ask Mac. They are a close second to the SCORE in their target demo of men, 25-54. So they are making more in ad dollars, and paying out less to the talent. (Carmen is prolly a $500K a year cheaper than Mac) This may change in the near future, but overall they are happy with the decision that they made. At least for now.. |

Always takes time and I dont think either station sees huge movement until a sports story breaks, like baseball starts and a team gets hot. |
