Caught the last hour of Monsters and Money this morning and finally realized why Mike and Jigs should never get another gig together as a brand. They have a NHL writer on to discuss the Hawks, Mike had to ask this writer if Duncan Keith was actually Canadian and didnt know he was going to play in the Olympics and Jigs, remember this is a Hawks segment asks the writer, “who do you think is the most marketable player in Chicago”, the writer asks “Hawks Player”? Jigs says no, any player, any sport…….I might be overreacting, but WTF? It was a Hawks segment and he once again strays to asking the worse question of the interview and that’s saying a lot since there is a guy at the table with a 10th grade education.

These two guys have one main thing to worry about in a two hour show, sports, it might take just reading the sports section, but yet, one is to lazy to do it and the other one is just there for the check……well, I guess you could say that about both.

This is why North has failed and I have said it many times, he got the money, got lazy, its that’s simple and until he decides to put in an actual effort, he should just retire, because he is making a complete idiot of himself, more so then he has done before.. As far as Jigs goes, I think the sun is setting on his media career and he should comes to terms with it, because at this point, I don’t think he has and just continues to come off as a desperate has-been.

I wonder how long this show will last, because its clear pappy isnt in charge and he is starting to take small jabs at the mgt. at CBS this morning...........End of June if they are lucky.

I emailed the station and told them I was switching to channel 5 and they should bring back the news.

They did respond and asked me to be patient, that
"Our hope is that you will give us a few weeks to work on the show and try us again."

Looks like they know it sucks.

What did he say? I can see Savage telling him off during a commercial break.

He mentioned that last week shows were below average and shows something about how not even mgt knows how to produce a show. ....

not a exact quote, but close.

Seems Mike can't do the sports or news or money things correct. From Rob Feder's blog:

http://blogs.vocalo.org/feder/2010/02/cbs-2%e2%80%99s-%e2%80%98monsters%e2%80%99-fumble-sam-zell-interview/14296

■Scoring a live, in-studio interview with billionaire mogul Sam Zell seemed like quite a coup for WBBM-Channel 2’s “Monsters and Money in the Morning” last Friday. Unfortunately, the four hosts of the CBS-owned station’s fledgling morning show — Mike North, Dan Jiggetts, Terry Savage and Mike Hegedus — blew it. While Zell sat around the table with them for more than 40 minutes, none of the hosts asked a single question about his troubled stewardship of the bankrupt Tribune Co. or about how the Chicago Tribune has fared since he took over. Not one. Had Zell put the subject off limits? Absolutely not, insisted North, who took full blame for the lapse. “It was my fault,” he later told me. “I was supposed to ask about the Cubs and Tribune, and I didn’t. . . . I called an audible and screwed it up.”

just like he forgot to do a background check on hernandez
just like he forgot his actual betting record on dontfademe.com
just like he forgot to send out bills to the companies dumb enough to advertise on sportwebio
just another excuse from a washed up has-been who needs to take the money he stole from wscr and go help the 200 plus charities he claims to help on his website

Score is doomed, forget "Monsters & Money"! I have 5 words for you..."Morning Express with Robin Meade". One look at the former NBC5 anchor and you'll never go back to those clowns at CBS2 again.
