saying that reinsdorf might partner with an FM station that would get the sox games after their deal with the score expires. Also mentioned that nort would be a good hire as he is looking at getting back into radio. this is the same schmuck who was braggin up the internet jet rocket last yr and how radio was old news. if this new sports station happens, nort will kiss king jerry's ass to get a job there. and I'm sure nort would promote himself for the sox play-by-play job too. the chicago way prevails again as you can suck ass at your job, but if you know the right people you have a job for life.

Yes,just read the article. It looks like a home for the old, tired thoughts of a number of fired/released/quit radio veterans. As long as they kiss King Jerry's ring they will stay employed. The station has already lost listener's respect before getting started!

I'm not so sure that Uncle Jerry would want to move his White Sox to the FM side once the deal with 670 The SCORE expires after this season. Let's flashback to 2005 when Reinsdorf announced plans to move the Sox to WSCR during their World Series title season and also moved his Bulls to the former 105.9 WCKG. Moment of silence please for WCKG...Thank you. The struggling CBS Radio-owned station pulled the plug on FM Talk in favor of a "Fresh"-ened music format the year after 'CKG became the flagship of the Chicago Bulls Radio Network. The Bulls cut ties with the station, now known as WCFS, and returned to ESPN Radio 1000 under terms of a rights-free, 5 year contract shortly before the start of the 2006-07 season.

The article said the Sox average 123,000 listeners per Sox game. That's not bad. If they go to FM, which has a smaller reach, that number goes way down. Score can be heard all over the midwest at night. I don't think you can make as much money on an FM station. But if Jerry owns the station he'll do it. Pretty interesting. Will Ranger go with Jerry and the Sox?

I predict that the White Sox & 670 The SCORE will announce an extension of their radio rights around the All-Star Break.

Yeah. Maybe Jerry is just using this FM thing for leverage. He's has to act like there are other bidders.

Beardown, based on what I read, I don't think Uncle Jerry's that serious about moving one of his teams to the FM side after the Bulls/WCKG flop.
