Anyone here him Saturday morning? This guy has no clue.

Piersall: "And now the Cubs are going to start Marshall. What was he, 1-6 last year with Seattle? Wooohoooo!" (yes he really said wooohooo!)

Levine: "No, he wasn't with Seattle"

Piersall: "He wasn't?"

Levine: "No"

Piersall: "Er, uh, Oakland?"

Levine: "No, he's from the Cubs farm system".

Piersall: "Really???!"

Way to know the team there, Jimmy.



But it continues. A minute later:

Piersall: "Well, what's Marshall's record in the big leagues?"

Levine: "Nothing, he's been in the farm system. This is his first time in the big leagues"

Piersall: "Oh".

Turns out Piersall was confusing Marshall with a new reliever on the White Sox. Alrighty. Then a minute later, Brian Dalgan decides to explore the topic further, and says "many Cub fans don't know much about Sean Marshall". Excuse me, WE don't know? It's your own EXPERT who doesn't know! Ah yes, us lowly fans who need the likes of Levine, Piersall and Dalgan to enlighten us.

SOLID!

Wow, unfortunately I missed that show today. But I do know one thing...it's quite an accomplishment to make Bruce Levine sound coherent. Bravo, Jimmy Piersall, bravo.

I hear Jimmy is talking with the Easter Bunny in two weeks.

i heard some of it....jimmy was obviously distracted by something.
joe gentile called in, so he and jimmy had a conversation about being old and lving in warmer climes......truly, geriatric radio.

Brian, fortunately, was able to reel them back in.

Heard it for the first time today... about 15 minutes worth.

Absolutely a joke. I never heard the guy on The Score, so when I heard Spaceball hired him for a weekend show, I didn't think it would be that bad.

I must say... Piersall sounded terrible. If I were in charge, I'd dump the show, and just turn "Piece of Peirsall" into a 20 minute segment on Baseball365 or Talking Baseball.

I'm still baffled that he gets a new gig on a station that makes the Score seem like amateur radio.

Jurko made it pretty clear today that Jimmy will not be on the MJH show.. The guy has been stealing from sports radio stations for years. The first cogent thought he brings to the air will be his frist.
