go to http://cbs2chicago.com/monstersandmoney and hit on the "mikes plan to save CPS sports". Go to the 2 minute and 10 second mark, mike will make a comment about havoc in the streets, look at Savage and see what she does, I think it says it all. |

And what the fuck is with North and those glasses? Did he swipe them from a Lions club donation box? I had a pair like that......in 1983! North really is Elvis. White trash with money. |

He just wants to get $200,000 from dozens of corporations at a time when companies across the country are trimming any excess expense they can put their collective fingers on. It's not a lot of money in Mike North's world. No big deal. |

He wants to get $200-300k from 50 different sponsors (or his other plan that one company would pick up the $15 million tab). I assume this would need to be an annual payment and the sponsors would have no idea which school this would actually go to, it isn't to name any particular facility, and the specific purpose of the funds is not being specified as, according to North, some of it could go to sports, some to music "if there's any left over". I've heard of schools selling the naming rights to certain buildings, even the cafeteria before. I think Acuity paid $650k to name some school. But, that was a school of their choosing with a one-time payment to name it forever. Also, I think that level of commitment is rare based on the fact that I even heard about it. I'm not against corporate sponsorship but his proposed "plans" are really not plans at all. Nobody is going to step up based on what he has outlined. |

I will let you all know how it goes. |

As I have stated, why in the fuck would CPS turn to this moron ? he looks like a fuckin clown, with the beret. several posts have already mentioned that companies are not going to give $300-500k each year for one school in the worst economy in 60 yrs. personally, i would rather see these companies hire workers than give to schools for sophmore sports. these kids will end up playing in leagues outside the schools till they get to the varsity teams. |

If North can raise money for CPS, that's a good thing. companies can hire salespeople to go out and get more business you dope. north won't raise anywhere near the $$$$ needed to save the sophmore sports. if he is really buddy buddy with reinsdorf and wirtz, he would be able to get at least a couple million from them, but he won't get squat cause they are not his friends. |

He's insane. He thinks that that corporations should just give money to schools just because they have it. Is that the idea? Man, I'd love how his mind works. I'd love to see him at this meeting. Chairman of getting money for HS sports: Mike, how we gonna raise the money? North: Well we'll just ask dem big corporations ta give 200k to every school in da city. Chairman: Why would they do this? North: Cuz dey have da money and I'm asking dem do do it. Chairman: Alright. Great. We solved this one. Let's go to lunch. You gotta love this idiot. So many problems in the world and the great Mike North has the simple answer. Just ask corporations to give you money without you giving them anything in return. Ask them in a recession no less. |

Ask them what they think about their old company donating money so girls can play soft ball. |

This is the guy that everybody followed to webio. Webio people: I'm getting a 2 year, 6 figure, guaranteed contract for a start up radio station on the internet? Is this legit? North: Yeah. Webio people: Why would he give this to me? North: Cuz he has it and he likes sports. Webio people: Sounds good to me. Let's go to lunch. |

I still love his sales pitch to these CEOs. He basically said his pitch during his rant. "C'mon, 200k is nothin' to youse guys. Plus, if you don't, dem kids will be runnin' around murdering and raping everybody. Could be your son or daughter dat dey murder and/or rape." -Mike North pitch to CEOs to raise money for HS sports. |

Does this fucking moron know how much of a struggle it is for charities to raise money? Does he know the hard work that goes into it. Poker tournaments are the thing to do now. The Score's doing one for kids with cancer. Don't you think they'd like to go to 10-20 different companies and ask them all for 200k? Isn't kids with cancer a more worthy cause? Since North seems to think it's as simple as "just asking dem big corporations" why don't other charities just do this instead of putting together fund raisers and events? The amazing Mike North is gonna raise a few million just by just asking corporations for 200k a piece. It's just that easy. He did that by just thinking it up in his head like nobody has every thought of asking corporations for charity donations. Oh my God. That's how it works? You just ask for it? Who would have thought? Back to Rodeo's initial point. That look by Terry savage was awesome. That's the look of somebody just discovering the stupidity of Mike North. We've all known it but she never heard North until she was forced to work with him. It was a look of "I can't believe dumb things like this actually exist". |

-Bebe was the COO of webio. A lady who's climbed the corporate ladder to that postion should be able to explain to Mike how corporations work and how his idea won't work. -North does motivational speaking for corporations, right? Why doesn't he just promise 10 free ones to 10 different companies if they donate? That should be worth 200k a piece. That's 2 million right there. "Hey Bebe, dat son of a bitch, Beardown, on dat chat board just came up with a good idea!!!" -If North would have took the Score's offer he could have saved one school and still made 600k this year. He should have thought of the Chicago public schools before he turned them down. |

I am curious how much worse the rating of this show are to the previous show or its competiters. North is like all 3 stooges wrapped up in one. I have no idea why they allow him to comment on finance and politics... 2 topics he knows nothing about.. acept saying 'I tell you what' with every comment! |
