He often tries to explain to us, the listener, that he was somewhat of an athlete and played "baseball" in college. He went to DePaul, yet I don't see DePaul having a mens baseball team? Thus at best he played on a club team? Also if he was any good, he would have got a minor league shot or a scholarship of some degree. Going to effort and say he didn't get either or I am sure he would have mentioned it about 60 or 70 times? I know this because he says he was given a tryout letter for the White Sox!
I played baseball in high school with some really good players and 2 got minor league offers, 4 got scholarships. I went on to play on a club team at a small school, just because I liked playing baseball. Not one guy I ever played with or against at any school during my 4 years of club play even came close to getting an invite to tryout for a pro team, even for a minor league as 22 year old single A guys are not the plan.
I am claiming LoHo got a letter by him requesting a tryout and I am pretty sure every team does have one open tryout day per year and at minimal I would expect Club play is needed, or High School ball and you are invited.

He claims he was a catcher at DePaul. Probably still playing that role today if u get my drift.

I was asked by then coach Arnie Hartoch to walk-on at UIC (One of my coaches in high school played for him.) but was done with sports by the time college rolled around.
not that it mattered since I had back surgery the following semester, ending my sports "career."
...which solidified my choice to spend my free time on music.

LoHo sounds desperate with these statements.

He's constantly trying to impress the listener as to his sports cred. It's not enough to let his knowledge speak for him, he has to tell us how tough he is, how black he is, etc. I'll bet ya that he has some serious self esteem issues. It's just that when he talks himself up, thousands of people are listening.

Speaking as a person who played some baseball on DePaul's CLUB team it is just that a CLUB team.

My High School team EASILY beats DePaul's Club team 10 out of 10 times and nobody on that Club team get's any kind of invite for any type tryout, look, wish, etc. In high school I don't make the pitching rotation, relief or start at 1B. At DePaul, I pitched and started at 1B, all day 1 without a practice.

Playing baseball at DePaul takes 2 things a glove and pen to sign up!

Is it possible that he is dumb enough to really think he was actually playing college baseball ? The old "if I believe it, then it is true" train of thought.

It's true, club teams are basically intramurals. I didn't even make the cut for Columbia College's team, but that didn't stop me from playing on two independent amateur league teams through college and attending open tryouts for the Detroit Tigers. I knew of a few other guys who did the same, and needless to say, none of us made the cut for the Tigers; in fact, all that happens if you make it past an open tryout is you get a follow. Larry's dreaming the kind of dreams of a much older man, and it's embarrassing to hear.
