Maybe the POS can become the new OG!!! Two of a kind- talentless assholes.

Murph's a dumb ass phony and everyone knows it. His baseball knowledge is minimal, just like everything else about his show.
Murphy sucks and takes up way too much oxygen.

Remember, guys, you have to find something to rail about for 48 pages' worth of messages before you even have a chance. OG isn't what you'd might call a long-time veteran...

We have finally found a host that Contempt does not like.

I still think he has a well prepared show.

I too am not a Murph hater. I enjoy his show most of the time. He may be a petulant middle-aged child to his co-workers, so what, most people are major pains in the ass. Hell, I probably wouldn't speak to Terry if I worked around him everyday, so I can't fault him for that. Beardown, Dolphin and me are probably on an island on this but Murph is the least of the Score's problems. Mulli should have not said anything about Murph. He knew what would happen. Not to absolve Murph's immature reaction buit we have all been in similar circumstances. Some things are best left unsaid. If things were OK between them, Mulli should have kept his mouth shut just to maintain a good working relationship.

Shit like this will help the Score's ratings across the board. Mitch is loving this. People love this shit. They will get a spike in the ratings for at least a couple weeks over this. Maybe longer.

Kind of weird, really. If I went to pick up my car at a service facility and, instead of working on it like they're supposed to, the mechanics were out front carrying on their own little personal feud in a very public manner, I probably wouldn't go there again. Yet here, instead of talking sports like they're supposed to, these guys are carrying on their childish personal business in the papers and on the air and we eat it up. And the station certainly isn't embarrassed by their hosts acting this way. Hell, they play the Murph-Mully thing over and over and promote it. I'm beginning to wonder if Murph's little outburst was pre-planned and approved by management, but then, I'm a skeptic.

The "OG @ Sporting News Radio" was the precursor to one of the Mikes from leaving town (not saying the thread is the cause of him leaving)... but perhaps, this thread can be the precursor for Murph eventualling leaving town (or at least off our radios). He has treated his producers like shit, according to a few who have posted here, he has had a few rifts with Mulligan on the air (I recall one afternoon he called yelling at Mulli to get his facts straight). Boers won't speak to him, and Danny Mac thinks Murph is a burrito. The guy is a joke on both Chicago sports stations. While I have never met Murph, nor has he ever done anything personally to me, I can't stand that this no-talent individual is stealing two hours of air-time that can go to hopefully a better host.

The great thing about the OG thread was it was not planned it just sort of happened. I really never took part in that thread because I never really thought the OG mattered. Plus while I think Murph is high strung and petty, I still think he has a well prepared show. I think he is a smart baseball guy. I like his guests. He does broach some good topics. But hey I know there is alot of hate for him so if you wanna challenge the OG thread then I guess go for it.

How can anyone say that murph is a smart guy or that he knows his baseball ? His show is old and tired. When he talks baseball he points out the obvious or he rails on cubs management. He needs to finish out his contract and then retire to arizona. I'm sure he could get a job as a golf course starter.

For me, "prepared" doesn't mean having 85 clips on the board, knowing which one to press when. It is being able to lead an intelligent conversation, being able to transition with your co-workers when ordered to (or better yet, not having to be "ordered" to do so), and not being a jag-off to your producers and co-workers. Look I just don't think he is that bad. Keep in mind I'm a Sox fan too. I don't love him and I wouldn't sign a petition. I just think there are alot worse then him. I know he is a jerk as evident by today's display. You guys don't like him. Fine. Keep him or fire him and I won't lose any sleep either way.

Jesus Christ guys could we consolodate the Murph hate. I kinna enjoy reading all of it. But there are like 8 threads in 4 different categories on this board. Consolodate it to the Murph board and try to reach your ultimate goal. LOL.

I think you've proved your own point, things aren't/were never okay between Mully and Murph. I agree 100% that if things were good, Mully would have given a "water under the bridge" type comment, especially since Mully himself is a scribe and knows how interviews work when done in prep for a story. However, he gave Greenstein everything and more, this should prove beyond a shadow of a doubt how much dislike there is for Murph at 670 among his co-workers. Also, didn't Mulligan mention something to the effect of "I was told to tell the truth." Me thinks that if Mitch wanted this quashed, it would have been quashed, mouths would have been zipped. This is like a soap opera now, but I guarantee we'll all be listening for crosstalk for the time being.

Even though Murph is all hurt and pissed and his ratings are decent, I'll tell you this is already the most I've listened to him since the Fred & Murph show. This only works in The Score's favor.

Nothing wrong with being a skeptic--however, I'd say this was more a case of dumb luck that they're gonna milk until it runs dry. And then they'll be forced to look at what a pathetic situation they're station is in when an on-air feud, and only an on-air feud, gave them a temporary ratings boost.
