Didn't know where to put this, so figured I'd throw it in here as it's not really about a particular show on The Score.

They currently, at least on the stream, are playing the living bejeebus out of a bumper for (at least) Mulli & Hanley's Sox Opening Day broadcast. Perhaps the bigger problem is the stream itself, which repeats commercials and CBS Radio spots non-stop, but this bumper is voiced by some odd-sounding guy...not the usual big voice guy.

Has anyone else noticed this, and/or been annoyed by it? Is that guy someone from the Mulli & Hanley show, or any idea why they wouldn't use the usual big voice guy?

It may just be me reaching my fill line of their awful streaming commercials (the horrid Showbiz Shelley, the 404 CNET idiots laughing at themselves, what the top 10 songs in Chicago are today etc), but that teaser for the morning show's remote KILLS me.

I don't know who the new big voice guy is at 670 The SCORE, but that supposedly whining other guy is Ernie Scanton. He used to do similar voice work at ESPN Radio 1000 and whose voice is still heard during Bulls' basketball broadcasts. I have to think Ernie was among those shown the door at ESPN Radio and resurfaced last summer working hand-in-hand with Russ Mitera, WSCR's Production/Imaging Director.
