That should be good. Both have solid baseball thoughts, but the pair seems a little Cubs-y. |

I said before, my Sundays used to consist of sending the wife and kids off to worship Jesus, while I stayed home to listen to two Jews talk baseball. I miss George and Jesse. I hope these two Jews are two of the good ones. I think this pairing can work. Anything is better than ZZ |

Laughed every time. But yeah, they did have a good show. |

This show is SO much better with Rozner. Spiegs has to throttle back a little and let Rozner get a thought out. He's a little too interrupty this morning. I'm also REALLY getting sick of hearing about Jake Peavy's home/away splits. |

Thanks Keyser, I was looking for this thread. Too much Larry is not a good thing, as he was in for Rosie yesterday. I won't say he has ruined my weekend morning radio listening experience, but enough is enough. Here's a message for Mitch, get rid of Larry and bring me a Jew. |

Hopefully, he'll bring up his amateur catching career, mom, how he might wear a suit, how he played against the athletic alumni of H/F, how he could have gotten married, comic books, which Bears players text him and scream "UNCLE TEEEEERY"!!!!! to top it off. |

Sweet, sweet Jesus. I flipped on The Score's stream this morning and was greeted by the gratuitous handjob Holmes. First, how in the hell do you have a WEEKLY BASEBALL SHOW where one of the permanent co-hosts is OFF the second weekend of the baseball season? Seriously, how is that allowed to happen? Secondly, I really have no idea who keeps on telling Score mgt that Larry is an intriguing host that needs to be crammed in every possible time slot for everyone to enjoy. He is just awful, and I'm not buying that he's "ok" solo or any other disclaimer that some need to attach to the guy. He should be doing hot sports talk in Omaha...not Chicago. Obviously I clicked off the stream immediately...so good on Score mgt for putting a guy on the station, constantly and everywhere, that is absolute "turn the dial" radio. |

I was disappointed Spiegal wasn't there too. I just don't understand why they can't get a respected voice when one of the hosts are away. Larry adds NOTHING of interest to any show let alone a baseball show. I turned it off the moment I heard his annoying voice. |

For a first year Score employee, Spiegel takes a lot of days off. How do you miss your second show as host of H&R? |

Spiegs had a weekend where Tributeasaurus did 2 shows, Friday and Sat night, sold out at Martyrs for 1 hit Wonders. I attended the Sat night show. Got there late and left before the hsow was over so didn't say hey, but I figured he would not be on h&R after a 1:30 AM show closeand 2 nights of rocking. The show killed ! |

How could playing in a cover band possibly be more important than hosting a weekly baseball show that you lobbied HARD to get? I really don't get that. I'm not saying that he didn't get permission or work that into his agreement ahead of time, but I just don't get why HE would want to do that. Maybe it's more of a larger issue with the way the station is run these days, I don't know. I don't recall as much juggling/subbing/switching of hosts in the past. The constant cramming of Larry on to every show/timeslot, BOTH hosts of a show taking several days off in a row, and generally not seeming too worried about having a consistent schedule of "talent". It just seems very odd that two weeks into the baseball season you have one of the hosts of the weekly "staple" baseball show taking time off as he played a gig, with his cover band, the night before. Who knows, though, maybe they encourage it so they're able to stuff Larry into yet another show? |

Quote: Maybe it's more of a larger issue with the way the station is run these days, I don't know. I don't recall as much juggling/subbing/switching of hosts in the past. There wasn't. With the North/M&H/Murph/B&B lineup, yeah, people took their days off, but there wasn't so much shuffling and Larry-cramming. I don't think any of them ever missed as much time as they do now, except maybe Terry. The short mid-morning show was easier for Mully & Hanley to fit into their days, and they seem to miss significant time too now that they're 5-9. Enough's been said about middays. This is a better lineup, yes, but it's not really intact all that often. Did Spiegs really lobby hard for Hit & Run? I figured they just tossed it to him if he wanted it, because, you know, it's Hit & Run. |

They just interviewed Washington Nationals GM Mike Rizzo and they didn't ask him about Bryce Harper. His name didn't even come up!!!!! How can you not ask the GM who holds the #1 pick in the baseball draft about one of the most hyped and scrutinized amateur players in draft history?!? |
