Did anyone hear the promo they just aired? It starts with Mitch saying it's been a tough week, but the Score is a happy family. Then it has various Score guys insulting each other and getting into fist fights. All with "We Are Family" playing underneath. Best exchanges were North accusing Terry of wearing the same shirt 6 days straight, and Fred taunting Mulligan with, "Hey, where's your soccer ball?" Fucking hilarious! Best promo in years, and evidence that Mitch pulled a PR coup with the Murph/Mully situation. |

That would make more sense since Fred is the only one who gives a crap about soccer. Either way, it makes me wonder if Mitch was smart enough to anticipate that Teddy's article would stir up this kind of PR. |

I'm going to guess not, but I have been wrong before. |

I didn't hear Murph in the promo the first time, which I thought was weird since Murph's half the reason it exists. Not only was Mitch smart enough to anticipate the buzz from Teddy's article, he was complicit with it being written. Both Terry and Mully said they spoke to Teddy at the behest of Score management. |

I don't like it, mainly for the little 'Thanks for listening' line at the end, the same way it's used when Rock says it like a douchebag on the board. Basically saying 'we don't give a shit what you say because if you have a complaint, then you must be listening' What a douchebag Mitch is, he shows what a horrible job he does by letting that article take over the station for days, and now thinks he can cover his ass with a promo using fighting sound effects. Maybe an email to NY corporate studios would help... |

I've heard both of them reference buying the 'season package' for the dish. |

They got their nice week of ratings spike and thats it. Back to ESPN1000 for me. I still didn't miss a beat of S&C during this whole thing and I only missed 15 minutes of a Macless MJH to listen to B&B giggle and laugh at the transition of Murph and Mully. But like someone said on the baord earlier, enjoy the short time I listened but this didn't fix any long term problems. |
