I was out today and couldn't watch Phil win the Masters, but let me tell you that golf play by play on the radio is unbelievable....unbelievably bad. But really, how can you make that interesting. |

I was driving back from Bloomington and the Masters radio coverage was right on time. |

We were in the car yesterday and I turned on the Score. I forgot about the golf PBP, and I PTFB as fast as humanly possible. I can only assume the ratings were god awful. SHARK? |

Golf pbp on the radio rivals NASCAR pbp on the radio for the most idiotic radio programing move ever. |

I actually love nascar pbp on the radio. They are a hundred times better than ol DW and digger and the fox crew. You have to be pretty into it to enjoy it as they are rapid fire alot of the time. |

It was very unusual, Jack, to hear 670 The SCORE airing live Westwood One radio coverage of The Masters following Ranger's "Comcast Feedback Zone Postgame Show" along the Chicago White Sox Radio Network over the weekend. Yeah, I realize The Masters is "A tradition unlike any other," but golf is one of those sports that's not meant to be heard. While the smooth-sounding John Tautges provided hourly updates Thursday & Friday, hearing PBP of The Masters on radio sounded unusual and very, very odd. |

Loud, pbp guys with adrenaline-filled excitement, etc. Now, didea has a point when they do radio broadcasts of qualifying, which is just one car going around. Pointless, but I still listened... |

Doc, US 99.5 doesn't air qualifying for Sprint Cup races, but airs the race itself Saturdays & Sundays, regardless of whether MRN or PRN is carrying it nationally. Although MRN calls itself "The Voice of NASCAR" and airs the majority of races on radio, PRN has the contract to air Sprint Cup races in Las Vegas, Atlanta, Charlotte, Bristol, TN, Loudon, NH and this Sunday's race at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. |

SHARK, I get my NASCAR radio fix, not from US99.5, but rather from Sirius NASCAR Radio which used to take all the MRN and PRN feeds for races as well as qualifying. It was there that I would get the PRN and MRN broadcasts of NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying. That is, until this year, when Sirius NASCAR radio stopped broadcasting the qualifying sessions. Originally, Sirius NASCAR Radio's position was that MRN and PRN no longer did longform qualifying broadcasts. But, Dr. Kenneth Noisewater has learned that longform qualifying broadcasts are, indeed, available - however, you are only able to get them through subscription to NASCAR.com's TrackPass package, I believe. I'm sad to report that I believe, eventually, even NASCAR Radio itself will be only available through direct subscription to NASCAR when Sirius Satellite Radio finally gives up the ghost. |

Bean Bag tourneys, lawn darts, saloon darts, foosball, shuffleboard, bowling, etc. would all be better on radio than golf or auto racing. |

On my tiny iPhone screen it looked like Goff PBP on the radio, I was wondering where to tune in. |
