I've been listening to the first 15 min of the show and it sounds so much better than usual. I think I know the reason why. He hasn't been playing a ton of sound drops and more importantly he hasn't been bitching about anything. Granted he wasn't talking about the Cubs so that might have helped.

It's because he only had a 30 minute show today. Maybe this is something Mitch should look into doing permanently?

I didn't hear it because I was packing but IIRC, (always a 50-50 prospect at my age :-)), (s)Murf started out doing a 20 minute show at the score.

Yeah, some nights in the spring and fall his show was that short because they had to go off the air at sundown on the old frequency, right? In the winter, I don't think he was on at all on weeknights.
