Former college coach Jackie Sherrill provides some interesting insight into the Big 10 expansion, and whether or not college athletes should be paid. Then, former Raider Dave Pear talks about his ongoing battle for the rights and restitution of the ex-NFL player and his extreme dislike of Gene Upshaw his former teammate with the Raiders and his handling of the players association.
Chet Coppock joins the guys in studio to give his always frank opinions about the state of Chicago Sports Radio. We'll also hear from John, a caller who had an unpleasant encounter with two local sports talk hosts. Download the Bearly Legal podcast at talkzone.com

I listened to the podcast of 5-12-10 today. Some thoughts:

Robin is a really good driver for the show. Pretty impressed, he knows his stuff. Everything sounded like it was going smooth technically as well (something I haven't quite figured out yet with my college show).

I wish John from (Barrington)? or caller John to B&B would've been more upset about his experience with B&B. He kind of back peddled a bit and said that he admired and respected Bernsie. I would've liked to hear him really rip into them. One thing about Bernstein is that he doesn't let callers finish their thoughts. That's when I push the button on their show.

It was nice to hear Chet on with you guys. Funny hearing him say that he pretty much got Boers into The Score back when it started and now he can't stand the guy. It sure seems that there is a "division" or "alliances" forming in Sports Radio that seem to revolve around the dislike or like of B&B. I'm leaning more towards dislike the more I hear them, but I've got to admit that I find them entertaining at times.

Dave- out of curiosity, what do you pay for the air time at talkzone? Do the advertising dollars offset the cost of the studio and production time enought to make any kind of profit?

I listened after the webio implosion and there really wasn't much of anything of substance said. Never listened again. Thanks for taking one for the team.
