Post subject:  Bruce Levine

Have you guys noticed that Bruce Levine is rarely on with Mac, Jurko and Harry or Silvy/Carm lately?

You hear his reports during updates, and that's about it.

I wonder if Bruuuuuce is hoping to jump ship to take George Ofman's slot.

There's definitely something funny going on here. There's no way Ofman should've been demoted for his "mistake". I wonder if Mitch knows that Ofman is planning on jumping ship to ESPN and Spaceball is simultaneously getting ready to launch Levine, who would logically wind up at WSCR. Mac has publicly expressed his admiration for Ofman quite a bit recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if Spaceball is going to add him to the AM1000 stable.....

Look at these conspiracy theorists at work here. Yea, I'd agree that bruce has almost completely fallen off the earth...or at MJH. I heard him on Silvy and Carmen last week (for all you peopl that don't listen to them). Iwonder if the guys are sick of his shit to be honest? He's been caught in plenty of flip flopping recently. I think the gig is up with Bruce. However, the Cubs love him so much and with sports teams falling like flies off of WMVP's list of broadcast partners they probably need Bruce to stay buddy buddy with somebody. Good call though guys. I was kind of wondering about that this past week myself.

Wouldn't trading Levine for Ofman be like trading 2 $5s for a $10?

Haha...man, isn't funny how both of those two look like some of the creepiest guys you've ever seen? Offman's head on that 670 site is just unexplainable....was he on Alien?

How about trading in your Volvo for a Saab?

How would Levine spin it if he went to the Score. He's been preaching all year that ESPN has the best coverage because they are not a flag ship. Whatever that means. Ofcourse, as i've said before, he never said that when the Sox were on ESPN last year.

WR: imagine this, same head, green hue, space helmet, ability to float, likes to call humans Dum Dum.

Yes, in his younger days, George Ofman starred on the Flintstones as the Great Gazoo.

Hahahaha! OK, I knew I remembered him from somewhere. As far as voices go, I think Bruce Levine sounds just like Stuart Smally from SNL.

I prefer to think of him as "The Leader", a villain from the old Marvel Comics:

I'd say he is the audio love child of SNL's Stuart Smally and ESPN's Tim Kurkjian.

No can do. I work until 7pm and Palatine is a long way off. You kids have a good time, though. Make sure Harry gets shitfaced and tells company secrets...

Yes...plenty of tequila may be the result of a thread called "The Fallout of Tiny Bubbles"

John Lennon would be proud. "All we are saying is give peace a chance."

I said in the love child thread that he is the product of Inside the Actor's Studio's James Lipton and Gazoo.

I would take Offman over Levine, even if Levine got better stories. Levine is a moody, whiny little bitch who obviously doesn't work well with others. A real standup guy that he says things behind people's backs and throws a hissy fit if the person finds out about it (Buster Olney, Sox in Cleveland at the end of last year - 'the scrubs'), and he's wrong a lot.
