I listened to Hub speak about the single that landed in front of, I think, Fukodome Saturday and he said Farmer (after initially saying it was Harrelson) was completely wrong about Silva showing up his rightfielder by being mad on the mound. He said that any Cub fan would know he didn't show him up. While I agree he didn't go Zambrano on him, you can't tell me that he wasn't p.o'ed a better attempt at catching the ball wasn't made. The camera catches him clearly showing his being ticked-off that he didn't catch the ball. I don't blame Farmer for calling Silva out on that one because he saw the reaction and said that isn't what you do. Hub was wrong to say that Farmer didn't know what he was talking about because it looked like Silva was unhappy. While I don't agree with Silva's visable response, I do think he had a reason to be mad because that ball landed within 5 feet of the outfielder. If a better attempt had been made-perhaps a dive-then I don't think we see Silva pissed off. Hub dismissing Farmer's comments as misguided was laughable. |

Farmer was dead on with the criticism. It was Colvin who took a horrible angle to the ball, but Silva was cursing after that hit and when he came out of the game. He was showing up that guy. |

I guess no one noticed he did the same thing to Theriot on a single up the middle earlier in the game. It pains me to say this but Farmer is correct. The fat fuck has been single handedly losing games over the past five years. Now he has moderate success and feels comfortable calling out his fielders for not making incredibly difficult plays...and he has been getting all the help in the world from his hitters all season. |

Correct - Silva was clearly upset that the catch was not made. I don't really have a problem with Silva being upset either though. Even though the teams stink, it's still a good atmosphere, and his emotions simply got the better of him. It happens. |

I am not a big Farmer supporter and I was interested in seeing the video after his comment. He was spot on with what he said. Sorry Hub, the video doesn't lie. It was a stupid comment to add that all Cub fans know he wasn't showing up his teammate. They knew it too. By the way, "Who ya crappin'" comes up Thursday on B&B. I will contribute this one. |

Wonder why this guy changed teams so much? Plus he had one good season out of those 11 years. |

Yeah, it's not a stretch to imagine Farmer as a locker room d-bag. |
