The Score did sign Adrian Woj from Yahoo! to be their NBA expert during the free agency period. He's been the best NBA writer in the country for the past few years. |

I remember on J Hood's old evening shows, he would bring Goff on once a week as his NBA expert. Goff seems pretty knowledgeable and comes across well - maybe I wouldn't label him as an expert. Joe O. does really good talking hockey too. |

I would rather listen to a local guy talk sports than some national guy from ESPN or wherever. Businesses need to be lean & mean in these uncertain times & paying someone like Hubie Brown big money doesn't make sense. Is Peter Gammons still the Baseball expert on Mully & Hanley? |

Stone probably isn't cheap and I could give a shit what he thinks outside of the context of an actual game. Would the Score be worse without DiNardo, Arkush or whatever NFL/MLB guys the morning show has? Is there research that indicates a spike in listenership during "expert" segments? |

I PTFB on Stone and DiNardo without fail; I'll listen to what Hub has to say now and then. |

Scorehead, I'm with you. I remember when Murph had to put up with the prick Reggie Theus as an "expert". Theus just trashed regular caller and genuine N.B.A. fan, the late Mark from Oak Park on air one day. Mark from Oak Park had every bit as much hoops knowledge as Reggie Fucking Theus. |

I guess the standard for an NBA "expert" must be higher than the one for NHL "expert" because I don't remember anyone having a problem with Jay Zawaski. He's not exactly Rocket Richard, you know. He's just a guy who likes to watch hockey. Goff is certainly as qualified to be a hoops expert as Zawaski is to be one on hockey. |

Gammons is one of a handful of baseball experts on "Mully & Hanley in the Morning", Scorehead. The longtime baseball scribe from the Boston Globe, Baseball America & now with MLB Network joins those guys at 6:40a Friday mornings. I've heard FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal on there, along with the SCORE's own Steve Stone, the Trib's Dave Van Dyck (complete with the "Dick Van Dyke Show" theme), plus White Sox second baseman Gordon Beckham & the Jerry "The King" Lawler-looking pitching coach Don Cooper on with "M & H" all the time. That being said, as much as I would like to hear a local guy discuss the White Sox & Cubs, I'm always interested in finding out what the Peter Gammons, Ken Rosenthals, Harold Reynolds, Mitch Williams, Tom Verduccis & Jon Heymans of the baseball world have to say about our local teams from afar. |

I don't know, I mean I like Zawaski and appreciate his insight, but there's something vaguely chintzy and patronizing about labeling a producer as a Blackhawks Expert. I mean, Olczyk's always calling the Mac show, and he wouldn't turn down a McDonald's job if he could find the time. He could be your Blackhawks Expert, couldn't he? Those two are your only real options. I mean, have you ever heard your average hockey analyst, like for the sake of argument Brian Engblom, try to break down a game? It's just nebulous bullshit about momentum and energy, which would be fine if he were a High School Physics As Taught By The Wrestling Coach Expert but insufficient for what we deserve. |

Goff is terrible as an expert. He has no inside information since he does not cover a team which would enable him acccess to players. He just follows what Terry Boers does and attempts to break stories by saying his sources say something and the stories never pan out. |

I suppose confidentiality is better reserved for those who commit vehicular manslaughter. And as Seacrest wrote, any evidence that Goff actually does this? Using evidence to prove theories should be your long suit as a barrister, no? |

Once again someone is "talking like a sausage" and allowing personal feelings to unduly influence a horribly written statement. Jason Goff actually covered quite a few Bulls games this year for the Score and I would like to see him replace Schuster full time. Goff actually had the balls (which you lack by the way, Spada) to ask Del Negro if he felt his job was in jeopardy after a game. I want an expert and a reporter to every once in awhile to step out and ask a tough question that needs to be asked. Speaking of inside information, how's that 3rd sports station coming around? It seems like you were trying to "break a story" because "your sources" said something to you and it "hasn't panned out yet". |

Spada's thinking isn't insane. It's certainly plausible. Goff works with Boers and sees how he does it. Boers makes up stories. Boers makes 6 figures doing it. Maybe Goff is trying to become the black Boers. Even worse, Goff is taking a little from both Boers and Bernstein to become a black Boerstein. Nooooooooooooooo!!!!! |

I expect Jason to be more like Stuart Scott. Larry told me that's how white people want their black sports broadcasters. After every "race joke" by Jason, I want him to yell "Booyah!!!" |
