Has anyone caught her updates over the last two days? She keeps pronouncing Chavez Ravine as shah-vez instead of shuh-vez. The latter is correct, right? IIRC that's how I've always heard it said.

I know what you mean, but I honestly don't think I've ever heard it pronounced like that on game broadcasts, newscasts, etc. It's always been with the "uh" sound.

Actually, it was originally a Jewish surname, and pronounced Sha-vez in Spain, before the Inquisition, according to my brother in law who has that name on his DL.
