North cuts prices on lots
Longtime Chicago TV and radio personality Mike North, who talks sports and business from 5 to 7 a.m. weekdays as co-host of WBBM-Ch. 2's "Monsters and Money in the Morning" show, and his wife, Be-Be, have reduced asking prices for their two lakefront lots on secluded Murphy Lake in Park Ridge to $979,900 each from $1.1 million each.
Elite Street on May 9 broke the news of the Norths' decision to list the lots, which sit on the 14.5-acre lake.
They originally had listed the lots for $1.3 million and $1.4 million, respectively, and later cut the asking prices to $1.1 million each.
The Norths bought the land as one parcel in 2005 for $2.1 million.
Even with the reduced asking prices, Mike North noted that he and his wife still are including $60,000 worth of architectural drawings for two houses that they and their relatives had planned to build on the lots.
