I didn't understand when he said I wont be here for the final run as I am taking vacation and don't want to be 'hypocritical'... His own words...hypocritical on what? I assume all these media TV personalities sign at least 1 yr contracts so all will get some sort of severance when the show goes of the air... Why not do the show for 2 more weeks and get your vacation pay as part of the severance? IS Mike North that dumb not to see that he doesn't know that company will pay for unused vacation time? It shows he didn't like being on the show and was as uncomfortable on the show as we were watching the train wreck as it was happening.

I caught the last 10 minutes of the show today and waited when I saw MONSTERS was a topic to see what was said. I heard him say that too and I didn't understand it either. He kind of mumbled it too so I didn't get it. Maybe it's on the website.

Sentiment seemed to be that 7 months wasn't enough time. All these ventures never seem to "have enough time".

Time is something no one can have enough of,especially the older among us.
Days fly by fast, but Mike still has time. I see him & his wife replacing that married couple on WGN that comes on in the wee hours. Johnnie & Steve,I think?

I'm watching that last 10 minutes now.
First, I think North and Jiggs are wearing the same shirt.
Secondly, Northy got in a dig or two...

"I think when you're trying to dig out of a 20 year hole, which is morning television, especially at this station, I think a lot of people would say that 7 months, and this I don't think was a local call, that 7 months is not long enough."

They lost 1/2 the viewers of the previously lowest rated show ever. Yep, a few more months of a ignorant, racist, asswipe would have turned things around.

Unless the host is a total meatball, jagoff assbag, then 7 months is plenty.

Is he going to be on at all next week? I will be in the viewing area and would actually wake up to watch him go down in flames.

How long did he say it would take for the radio morning show to get ratings? Wasn't it something like 2 years?

Guys, it seemed as if Dan Jiggetts was the most comfortable on not only "Monsters & Money", but the show he & Mike North did on Comcast SportsNet as well. In the very, very short time I watched, it appeared as if "Jiggs" was the lead voice on both "Monsters in the Morning" and the show that'll soon leave the air August 27th.

One other thing...I noticed Terry Savage, the syndicated personal finance expert who joined "Jiggs", North & ex-CNBC reporter Mike Hegedus at the "Squawk Box"-like roundtable, was conspicously absent this morning in favor of Susan Carlson, who had been doing the news updates throughout the 2 hour train wreck...I wonder if Terry bailed out just before CBS2 announced the show's cancellation hours after the hiring of ex-WCBS New York anchor Steve Bartlestein yesterday...

He would have said it for as long as you let him. 2 years, 3 years... That mess he concocted in the morning wasn't going to catch Mike & Mike. And it took awhile for Mully & Hanley to undo the damage.

You had this guy on a show with 4 equals. Presumably he was kept in check (somewhat.) To those that say with a good sympathetic co-host he can thrive, remember this show. AND with Jiggs driving the bus.

On the other hand, this curious mix of topics didn't sound like a good show to begin with. A lot like the home repair, mortgage, and sports guy show MVP ran on the weekends.

It said it took 18 months to build an audience. That's an eternity by today's standards.
