| Post subject: | Mark Grote's Now a Full-Time SCORE Guy |
For about the last year, WSCR 670 The SCORE's morning & midday "Scoreboard Updates" have been split by 2 people, Mark Grote & Kerry Sayers. While Sayers does updates during "The Danny Mac Show" middays, ChicagolandRadioandMedia.com report that Grote's about to get a larger on-air presence on The SCORE. Grote, who had been doing "Scoreboards" on a part-time basis at SportsRadio 670 and sports updates at :15 & :45 past the hour on WBBM Newsradio 780 via Shadow/Metro Broadcast Services, has been rewarded with a full-time contract with WSCR. Both WSCR & WBBM are owned by CBS Radio, of course. Under the terms of Mark's new contract, he'll be delivering "Scoreboard Updates" exclusively during "M & H" weekdays 5-9a. Grote will also host his own weekend show and occasionally fill in on other SCORE shows when needed. Grote's new duties could become a reality by the end of this month. |

SHARK, any word on Matt A? He is the Score reporter at Wrigley today. Is this a permanent change? What happened to Shuster? |

I know that Drinky is a Cub fan, not to mention one of my Facebook friends. That being said, I think this is only for 1 day. Why David Schuster or Connor McKnight aren't at the ballpark is a little bit of a mystery. All I know is McKnight is once again filling in for John "Rock" Mamola tomorrow after the White Sox/Royals' game on 670 The SCORE's "JoeO & Rock Show" around 10p-ish. |
