Not terrible

Not great.

Last night they had Brent Bazanez on. He said something like "I saw a stat last night on Marshall Faulk and he had 1000yds rushing a few times for the Rams. So you CAN run in this offense"

Im sorry, but did an NFL analyst on ESPN just express surprise with Marshall Faulks numbers? Wouldnt anyone who watched any NFL football from 2000-2004 know all about that?

That shit is crazy

Hood and Fred in the mornings would beat Mully/Hanley.

But yes, what the hell is with the "analysis". Faulk had a few 1000yrd Rec./1000yrd rushing seasons.

I don't need ex-jock Brett to tell me thta.

I think they have a great show. I often forget that it is on and the schedule seems a little strange.

As I've always said, Hood is the most underutilized sports talk talent in this city.

Why would Brent Baszenaz be an expert on anything except maybe Northwestern football?

Is he even an expert on that?

Hood is miles better with JD, but acceptable with Fred.

Well said.

Fred seems to have a time limit for me.

I can take him for about 1 or 2 segments but after that he gets annoying

My thoughts on Fred are well known. I think he is a great update guy. However, I think he has been a better host since he was teamed with Hood.

Fred's a very good talker, but I'm not convinced he knows anything. He'd be a better fill-in/weekend guy than most though, as long as someone interesting was opposite him.

Both of these guys are horrible. I actually caught a little yesterday. Bad. Hood is a very choppy, redundant story teller with no direction or structure. He was talking about going to a strip club in Cincy with a couple of ESPN 1000 producers this past weekend. The jist of the story was that he couldn't believe the place closed at 2:15 am. He thought that was an odd time. So that is what he repeated about 5 or 6 times. Then he mentioned how he only saw one "sista" on the "catwalk". :( That was pretty much the story. But he dragged it out to kill like 5 minutes of air time. Hood also tells a lot of bad jokes and does the "inhale" thing to let the audience know he mad a funny. He was bringing up Bears callers by starting the conversation with "Beardown, Joe from Oak Park". What the hell is that?

I actually think Hood has regressed. He was always bad, now he's worse. This is the first time I've heard him in about a year I think.

No, Hood is good.

He does need to say "I just think..." less.

Uh, find Terry Boers relevancy, sports knowledge, ability to form a coherent thought, non-shittiness.....am I missing anything?

J Hood also listens to the Score. He has made numerous references & even repeated things on air that have been said on WSCR. He went after LoHo the other night which was fun.
Hood is in my top 3 favorite sports radio hosts. I love the guy.
AM1000 should replace SVP with Hood & Fred.
