Love the Blackhawks and love Eddie and Pat. But stop saying how good your production staff is. I don't know if other cable systems have better broadcasts of sports on CSN, but the Directv feeds always seem to have audio and video issues. The HD view is fine, but in any given broadcast, there are times when the quality sucks. The video cuts out or jumps or the sound has issues.

The production problems are constant.

Cable system (Comcast) is about as bad.

To add some color to my original comments, sometimes the screen just goes out, sometimes the pictures jumps/skips, and sometimes the sound is poor. I only recall one problem last night, but there were several on a prior game. I am not ruling out that Comcast somehow provides a poor feed for Directv customers, but whatever it is, the quality is poor.

My other stations are fine, so it's not my box. And my tv is less than a year old. Although one of the Bears games had an issue too.

Me too. I didn't see the whole game last night, but what I saw was fine. Saturday was a different story. In fact, on Detroit's game winner, the camera and audio completely went out, and when it kicked back in, Detroit was celebrating.

And enough with the Tony Esposito Binny's commercials. One is fine....but after the 10th one in a period it makes me want to shoot the TV Videodrome style

Truth be told, there have been issues with Comcast SportsNet from the day they signed on in 2004, whether it's audio or video-related. I noticed there were technical snafus with the picture briefly during the 3rd period of Saturday's Blackhawks' loss to the Red Wings and that we almost missed the Wings' game-winning goal. I think the snafu was on CSN's end, not DIRECTV, Dish Network or any of the other providers that carry the regional sports network.

We did miss Detroit's game winner, live. The only shot I saw of it was on the replay.

Glad most people are having the same issues. Here was my main point- Foley keeps talking about the great job of the production crew (Eddie will do that too if they get a good angle like they did last night on the high/near side Hawks goal), but from my perspective, the crew sucks. The broadcasts are and have always been sub par. They're not WCIU bad, but they're shoddy nonetheless.
