http://www.suntimes.com/business/lazare/2803910,CST-NWS-lew15.article Adam Delevitt was named the new program director at ESPN Radio sports talk WMVP-AM (1000) on Thursday. He had been the radio station's assistant program director since 2006. Delevitt replaces Justin Craig, who moved last month to New York to become program director at ESPN Radio's flagship station there, WEPN-AM (1050). Since Craig announced his departure from WMVP late last month, Delevitt had made no secret of his desire to get the top programming job. "I was already doing the job on an interim basis for the past several weeks," said Delevitt, a Chicago native. Because of his long-standing love for his hometown, Delevitt, 34, said he plans to make the station as Chicago-focused as possible without ignoring its national ESPN Radio brand affiliation. "I think the ESPN connection is actually a good thing for us," Delevitt added |

bernstein said that he wouldn't want to do anything to limit his career opportunities. But he already has with the type of show he produces and the image he has crafted for himself. Terry is obviously cognizant of that, because through the din he managed to slip in a statement that the things you say can serve to limit you, or something like that. The thing is, Terry doesn't give a fuck and it sounds like danny does. I'm not saying bernstein couldn't rehabilitate his image. I mean, someone saw fit to put Jerry Springer on a newscast and Glenn Beck is a guy who started out as a morning zookeeper. But right now I think he's viewed as an insult comic more than as a serious person. |

When Bernstein filled in for Dan Patrick, he was very good. |

We're talking about kind of organizations that suspend a guy for calling a bitch a bitch. Are they really going to jump to put this argumentative little smartass on the air? Maybe. Like I said, some goof put Springer on a newscast and Mike North keeps getting jobs. But why take that risk? There are all kinds of guys out there that don't have that baggage. |

I think Bernstein in a national venue would have more credibility/entertainment value than anyone else on ESPN's daytime roster. |

I could see Bernstein doing well in any number of formats and on any level from local to national. |

If a total screaming asswad like Calvin Cowherd can make more than minimum wage and get a TV series made; Bernstien can be the first cocky Duke know it all on Mars |
