to all the “boarders” first of all thank you for the feedback…I encourage all of you to e-mail directly with any comments, thoughts, or general BS for the Score..I really value the feedback…The new web-site is actually doing great in terms of traffic and exposure..I understand your frustrations on the site being new, and not what you are use to…but anytime change occurs there is an adjustment period…I ask that you give the new site some time to let it bake and develop…I think you will notice the podcasts are becoming more accessible to you and easier to download…Again, as always I welcome your feedback…Thanks!

Mitch is like Wal Mart. He's a monopoly.

Why should he give a shit about you guys begging for podcasts. You are obviously already listening, want the podcasts, and are visiting the site.

You gonna get your SCORE podcasts somewhere else?

Mitch has a login. Why doesn't he just post it here himself?

Maybe I'll start speaking to the board through PMs to bigfan.

If anyone's wondering about the new look of the SCORE's Web site, I think SportsRadio 670 Program Director Mitch Rosen's the wrong one to be pointing the finger. WSCR is owned by CBS, people. The company recently redesigned similar Web sites in New York, Philadelphia & Los Angeles under the famous "eye's" umbrella. Although the new CBS Web sites are supposed to be easier to navigate, there are things about the individual station sites such as 670thescore.com & WBBM780.com, for examples, that are now either hard to find or all but eliminated completely since the Web makeover earlier this month. If you've got issues with the new CBSchicago.com, point the finger at CBS Corporate in New York for the IT issues you may have...

I sent Mitch the responses I got about the new site from the chat last night.

None good, all bad. It's a bad site

The sad part is them judgign the site on traffic only. Yet, they have combined 5 sites into one, of course they will have traffic.

McD's has more traffic than Hugos too!

It's from the movie John Carpenter's "The Thing". In the beginning of the movie Kurt Russell's character loses to a computer chess game (which is voiced by a female) so he takes his glass of J&B and pours it into the circuit calling her a cheatin bitch.

Thanks, Gun. Unfortunately, they've got Laurence Holmes, "NIU Live" and Les Grobstein listed starting at 7p tonight. After that time waster called "Bears All Access" this eve at 6p, The SCORE has the national broadcast of NFL Network's "Thursday Night Football" via Westwood One at 7p. Ian Eagle, Trent Green & Laura Okmin paint the picture for Colts/Titans from Nashville, with Scott Graham providing pre, halftime and post from New York.

The new site is SO unbelievably bad. It's really no longer an interactive part of the station, but rather a poster for all CBS local media.

Can't find where any of the remote broadcasts are. Shouldn't this be information the station would WANT to share with listeners on their website? I understand that CBS made all the local media outlets one website. That concept itself just plain sucks and is bad. But to strip the Score's web identity down to a logo, podcasts, and really little else is irresponsible to CBS corporate, Score Management, and the listeners.

You'll like it Ivan, its a good movie and best part is, its not in black and white. Well, that and it has Wilford Brimley.

Their site is beyond bad in regards to form, function, and appearance. It's a website that puts their product second to it's attempts to advertise and the extensive cross promotion dilutes all brands associated, from the corporate entities to the advertisers and those with promotions. The one size fits all approach fails on every level. The main page is crowded and there is little intuitive about the layout. Trying to find general information is at the expense of having to click through too many links and page loads. Finally, the site is visually unappealing as it's clear that it is the vision (limited) of one person who doesn't try to use the site. Beyond being able say "we've got a website" these CBS outlets would almost be better served with a static page with busted links. At least most of the pretense would be removed.
