I tried calling the postgame show to get my thoughts on the game today and the person screening the calls said that they would not accept me because I was from DeKalb? What is this supposed to mean? That is messed up and pretty cheap for not accepting any calls from someone in DeKalb. Way to alienate your viewers Rongi; not really a point in a phone-in show if you can't even call in because you are outlawed from being from a certain town.

Rongey is a dickhead for not allowing calls from a certain town. I called in yesterday only to get cut off when I was talking. WTF is that about? I will never and I mean never call in when Rongey is hosting the pre and post game shows. Screw you Rongey

In typical Score fashion, they continue to alienate what little audience they have left. While MNMS has alienated the Jewish, Chinese and Korean communities within the past year (actually, he accomplished that long ago), and the station as a whole continues to alienate anyone with at least a minor degree of hearing, at least SCR could count on 50 listeners in DeKalb and 10 in Sycamore to tune in because of NIU. Now apparently they don't even want the 50 in DeKalb.

Maybe you should write the NIU Board of Trustees. I'm sure they would love to hear about this incident considering they're paying SCR more than $100,000 per year. If the station won't talk calls from NIU's city, that's a problem...

Right, and then when you get on the air say I'm from DeKalb but your producer wouldn't let me on with that. You'll get awkwardness from Rongi. Or just say "the producer didn't here me right im from Dekalb. Why they won't take calls from anywhere is amazing.

Like you mentioned Howitt, it is typical Score fashion by what they are doing in this instance. It is pretty pathetic that all I was trying to do was put my 2 cents in on the game tonight and I get denied, not because of what I was going to say on the air, but because of where I am from. I am wondering if Rongi is trying to create his own Mason-Dixon line in the state of Illinois.

I'm sure this is the reason. They get more advertising results from towns around the area. The Score feels that if people here there towns mentioned it helps the advertisors. It's nonsensical radio logic. But beleive me this is the reason.
