What a great show today from 12-2. Murph is without a doubt the best when it comes to talking baseball. Well now the 2 goofs are on so I have to go over to AM1000 for my sportstalk fix.

Ya know, I'm no Murph fan, but I have to admit that I was in my car this afternoon during his show and actually listened for the rest of the segment without punching the dial in irritation. I didn't even notice until I read this thread and thought about it. Maybe you are on to something that today's show was actually tolerable. :?

I can't listen to Murph much. But I've often said the guy does have some "out of the box" thoughts that are interesting to listen to. He prepares for a show more then anybody at the station in my opinion.

If he prepares so well, how come he didn't know Barrett's suspension was upheld hours before his show? The guy's a light weight BS artist.

Good grief even the last to know Offman knew.

Obviously we can find mistakes by everybody. That came down near the start of the show from what I understand. Yes somebody should have informed him or he should have listened to the update. That error does not go to a lack of preperation. He just wasn't informed. Obviously if he knew he wouldn't have made his prediciton.

I agree. I usually bash Murp a new ass-hole for his Hyper-Cubs-ism-itis, but his stuff today was a great listen. Specifically, I loved both the AJ MVP angle and his explanation of the DH switching positions rule - that always perplexed me.

Just my opinion, but great sports radio today, 'ole timer!

There is no AJ for MVP angle.
I didn't hear his show today, and it may have been great, but if he's trying to make an argument that AJ should be MVP, he clearly doesn't have a case.

I happened close to an hour before the show and is certainly a lack of preparation. My gosh, read the sports wire at least before you go on the air. He's a loser.

Ok fine. There is no excuse for that. You would think somebody there would mention that to him.

You would think he should read the sportswires, he's lazy, uninformed and still a loser.

I caught most of the first hour during lunch. Surprisingly good stuff--- then again, maybe I found Murph more tolerable because I hadn't heard him in months.

Ya the reason I like murph is I listen to his show probably like once or twice a month. If you listen to him everyday, then it's pretty much the same show daily.

I think since he was out last week, it was nice to hear him back on after trying to listen to all the other shows that don't talk much sports. At least Murph talks sports, got to give him props for that; even though he's a real ahole.

Usually, when one party states that the other "clearly doesn't have a case", said party justifies such an assertion WITH AN ACTUAL SET OF RATIONAL, REASONABLE SUPPORTING FACTS.

Just a meandering thought.

Why should AJ be MVP ?

Because he's hitting for a great average (about .330) and great with the pitching staff ???

AJ for MVP is JOKE.

I'm a White Sox fans, and I'll tell you that AJ winning MVP would be an abomination. He's not even the best hitting catcher in his DIVISION- Joe Mauer is leading the ENTIRE AL in batting average, and has much better all around numbers if memory serves (I don't have time to go look at the stats right now). Sorry, but no way you can be on board with this.

He is the 4th best catcher in the division behing Mauer, IRod and Victor Martinez.

I don't think AJ would be in my top five for MVP of the Sox.
