I cant even keep up with the utter awesomeness that is the People's hour. Last night we got a story about Alfonso Boone looking for Larry Exact quote "Dont say youre lookin for me dude, I dont play that" I wonder if Alfonso Boone knows how close he came to death? We were also treated to a Porn reccomendation by Laurence. Bree Olsen. "wait til you get home and google her" SHAKE THAT I was also pleasantly surprised to find out Laurence is 5'9. When we met I was taller than him. (Which is rare) And here I was thinking I was 5'7. Apparently im 5'10 He forgot to do his top 5 M.C.s last night. I guess he'll do it twice tongiht He was also giving Adam Pac Man Whatever his name is a lot of free advice on ladies. Kept making fun of the guys height. I guess thats better than ripping him apart with his bare hands. The People's hour carried over to transition with Drinky. Good stuff. Anyways Im gonna need help with these recaps. Im talking to the Laurence Legion Krazy Ivan Dr. Ken (if he ever comes back) Northside Dan Sinicalpyse |

There's no "People's Hour", let alone a Laurence Holmes show for that matter tonight, due to another night of bad DePaul basketball LoHo & Zach Zaidman will be describing come 8p tonight on 670 The SCORE when they host Seton Hall at Allstate Arena. There is no "Hater Wednesday" either. In Laurence's place this eve is the one & only Jason Goff from 6-7:45p. "SCORE Overnight" w/the Grobber follows the Blue Demons' latest loss come 10:15p or so... LoHo returns tomorrow at 7p following a postseason edition of "Bears All Access". I heard the name Kevin Frazier mentioned late in the "People's Hour" last night...Kevin has been pinch hitting for Dan Patrick in Dan's Connecticut-based "DanCave" the last 3 days and was hoping to return to Los Angeles tonight to return his current duties as an anchor/reporter on "Entertainment Tonight". I doubt he's going anywhere due to the massive snowstorm in New England... |

Last night during extended Peoples Hour last night during the SHAKE THAT/DRINKY transition Laurence opined the need for a true sports bar in Hyde Park. He has some athlete friends that get there hairs cut in the same barber shop as he does. Laurence gonna hit em up with the idea of investing in a good sports bar in the area. Be advised Hyde Parkers. It's gonna happen now that Laurence is on it. Good barber shop chatter between the two. I literally sat in my garage waiting for the transition to finish it was so awesome. Also, Laurence mentioned that if you goto Aurelio's in Homewood Flossomoor, make sure you ask to have meal cooked in the old oven? Don't know what that means, but it must be sage advice. |

I heard a gem the other night, although it wasn't technically in the people's hour... it was around 10:10-10:30pm when Laurence hung out with Matt Abbatacola for the longest show transition I've heard. Seriously, who else is going to give you a bonus 30 minutes of commercial-free radio in chicagoland? The part where I tuned in featured drinky and Sir Laurence of Shake That (bring it back) talking about going out and drinking... but not your average night of drinking, oh no, Laurence was talking about getting "toe up" At first I was thinking "Is this passed out drunk drinking, where you literally end up on your back somewhere and your toes are pointing upwards? Is he referencing death?" I was flummoxed and desired a pastry to soothe my ignorance. Fortunately for me, around the 6th or 7th time he reiterated "toe up" within a 2 minute span, I realized "oh, he means to' up" as in a streamlined ebonics-intensive way of saying "tore up." Once I realized that I felt more like a part of the show than ever before, and while I, like the White Sox before me, was all in there was a frightening picture painted for me over the radio: When talking about the consequences of getting blackout drunk, drinky talked about waking up with whales, getting the one night stand partners who are uninterested, and touched on the prospect of a bar fight. Laurence jumped in and said that's his big worry when getting to' up, the blacked out bar fight. I mean, could you imagine that? I've caught a fitness challenge video on youtube featuring Laurence and I know that his body is his temple, and his temple is his prize. When a streamlined softball champion caliber athlete gets freed from all normal boundaries of human decency by an infusion of alcohol, seriously, I'm glad that Laurence is a gentleman who cares about his common man, otherwise they might have to call in the National Guard. I look forward to more of the people's hour colon we do what we want in the near future. |

Just curious. Anyone think that BigFan is putting himself in harms way by not having Mr. Holmes' name listed first (#1) in the OTHER WSCR,ESPN, WGN, WBBM,COMCAST section? For the betterment of the board, this may be an oversight that needs correcting. |

Since Larry is a comic book fan and we have started to superimpose WSCR talent on comic book hero bodies, can one of you photoshop technicians give me Larry on The Incredible Hulk? |

The "Incredible Hulk" did come up during LoHo & Drinky's transition. There were a couple of "Hulk" movies, one starring Eric Bana & the other with Edward Norton. Neither movie did all that well if memory serves at the box office... |

Terry's Peeps. Nowadays,I don't know what these studios want. 250 mil + DVD sales + Merchandise, yet they were disappointed in it. I think in the U.S. it only made about 130 mil. |

Sorry SHARK, but Hulk starring Eric Bana and directed by Ang Lee has grossed over $245M worldwide. It was generally panned by critics, and was rebooted wth The Incredible Hulk. |

If a movie cost $250-300 million just to make, it has to earn that just to break even financially. |
