It has been years since there has been this much interest in Chicago Sports. The Score is bursting with listeners and callers and reaching into new demographics. You would think that people would be clogging the internet tubes to hear what Mike North has to say. You, of course would be wrong. Check out his youtube hit counts: http://www.youtube.com/user/north2north1#p/u As of Wednesday Night, he has posted 27 videos to youtube. I did a quick count and they have 104 total views, for an average of drumroll please 3.85 views/video That's right, on one of the hottest weeks in Chicago sports news history, North is getting less than 4 people watching each of his videos. There is only one thing to do: BOYCOTT HIS SPONSORS. If they are so stupid that they give him money despite being the biggest joke since "YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN HER BOX", then I can't even imagine how they run their businesses. |

Yeah, how can I boycott "Memeroboblia" when I have never even heard of the business? These sponsors are either old friends of Mike and are giving him money more as a charity case because they feel sorry for him OR he is basically not charging them anything. It is probably some combination of the two. I can't imagine anyone paying more than $20/month for spots on someone's Youtube channel. Probably back in the day, Mike was generous buying drinks, dinner, etc... and his old friends now feel the need to respond with a modest stipend. |

North's going to get hired somewhere. It's just about his ego going down enough. Which it will. |

Man you guys are rough on little Mikey. He was a pioneer in this town. He made a name for Sportsradio in Chicago. The other wiseasses on the Score resent him,but they should be kissing his ass. Bernstein would still be doing playbyplay for the CBA Joliet Cornholers if not for Mike. |

This is the problem with North. He helped make sports radio a big thing in this city, but then proceeded to try and do other things while on a sports station. Only the other things he tried, made him sound like an illiterate, racist high school dropout. This is why he deserves the crap that is heaped upon him. As I said before, I do not feel sorry for him. He did this to himself. I pity him for being too stupid to realize that he screwed up. |

I bet this story will be covered by Mike in his next 5-minute update: NEW YORK (AP) — More than 120 organized crime associates face charges including murder, extortion and narcotics trafficking in one of the largest Mafia crackdowns in FBI history, prosecutors announced Thursday. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said at a news conference Thursday in New York City that the 127 defendants include high-ranking members of the Gambino and Colombo crime families and the reputed former boss of organized crime in New England. All five of New York's five major crime families were targeted. The charges cover decades worth of offenses, he said, including "classic mob hits to eliminate perceived rivals," a killing during a botched robbery and a double shooting in a barroom dispute over a spilled drink. More than 100 of the defendants were arrested Thursday as some 800 federal agents and police officers made busts in several states. One person was arrested in Italy. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chicago Shopping Overwhelming Offers: Always 50% off or more from your favorite brands >> -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other charges include alleged corruption among dockworkers who were forced to kick back a portion of their holiday bonuses to the crime families. Holder called the arrests "an important step forward in our nation's fight against organized crime." The crimes include two murders dating back 30 years, and another as recently as 2002. One of the defendants, among the scores arrested, is a former New York City police officer. Authorities say the investigation was aided by informants who recorded thousands of conversations by suspected mobsters. Luigi Manocchio, the reputed former head of New England's Patriarca crime family, was arrested Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the U.S. attorney's office in Providence said. An indictment accused him of collecting protection payments from strip club-owners. Also arrested was Thomas Iafrate, who worked as a bookkeeper for strip clubs and set aside money for Manocchio, prosecutors said. The takedown was the result of multiple investigations. Federal probes aided by mob turncoats have decimated the families' ranks in recent years and have resulted in lengthy prison terms for several leaders. On Friday, a federal judge in Brooklyn sentenced John "Sonny" Franzese, 93, to eight years in prison for extorting Manhattan strip clubs and a pizzeria on Long Island. In October, Mafia turncoat Salvatore Vitale was sentenced to time served after federal prosecutors praised his total betrayal of his own crime syndicate — and after he apologized to the families of his victims. Authorities said he had a hand in at least 11 murders, including that of a fellow gangster in the fallout from the infamous Donnie Brasco case. The evidence provided after his arrest in 2003 helped decimate the once-fearsome Bonanno organized crime family, Assistant U.S. Attorney Greg Andres said. |

The millionaire isn't the stupid one; its the people who GAVE the millionaire the money who are stupid. Unless, of course; they stop giving him the money. Which CBS did. And now he gets 4 views per video. I know I can top that, easily. Then again, I don't pretend to be important, like North does. And please, stop it with the "He pioneered, he deserves respect" shit. If that's the case, then noboby can ever say anything bad about anyone who started something successful. Eventually, you need to stop living off of what you did 25 years ago..... Wait, nevermind. |
