Instead of building a "platform" for Goff on your show, just give the entire show over to Goff and go play on Lake Shore Drive. Thanks.

I wonder if either Jason or Matt have complained to management about the transitions with Larry?
Larry always seems to stay on until the 10:30 p.m. news update -- and that's for a 10-midnight shift.

I suspect they figure that's a half-hour they don't have to worry about filling.

Laurence is PERFECT during baseball season when the Sox have a 7:11 first pitch and he's got SOOOOOOOO MUCH TO GET TO OVER THE NEXT 25 MINUTES!

I remember inventing the Laurence Holmes drinking game last summer. I forget the specifics, but it involved cracking a beer at the beginning of the show. Take a shot when he says that he has SOOOOOOOOO MUCH TO GET TO. You also take a shot at the mention of Facebook blowing up. You get that beer vert when he says [name] is on the score and you want to talk about [subject].

Actually, speaking of that, what really really gets me about Laurence is that stupid hack college radio "drive the show forward, keep them on point" [name] is on the score and wants to talk about [subject] crap. I've pleaded with him to stop doing it over the 67011 channel, and once he actually responded that he does it to keep everyone on point, and OH BY THE WAY, steve dahl and so and so and so and so also do it (the inferrence = so fuck off! I'm right!)

I mean, on tonight's show I LOL'd when he welcomed a called named Dewayne on the show. Right after he introduced the name he slightly hesitated, as Dewayne was on top of his game and getting right to the point. LAURENCE THEN TALKED OVER HIM by saying "SO YOU THINK THE PACKERS WILL WANT TO WIN?"

He literally caught himself slipping on the "keep 'em moving" train, and on the next call he literally belted out that [name] is on the score and wants to talk about [subject] shit so quick I think he did it all in under one breath. It was suitably hilarious, namely because you can tell he really really believes in that HACK AS ALL SHIT CHEESY ASS COLLEGE RADIO FREQUENCY HOST DEVICE enough to literally force it down our throats.

Also, I find it demeaning... it's like, on one hand here's Mr THE PEOPLE'S HOUR COLON WE DO WHAT WE WANT YEAHHHHH ONLY ON THE SHAKE THAT SHOW CAN YOU GO OFF AND DO YOUR THING! but on the other hand, he doesn't trust his callers enough to stay on point so it's like he's pre-emptively reminding them that they need to talk about the subject they told the call screener. It effectively kills the normal ebb-n-flow of conversational evolution in the name of showing that he runs a tight ship... just like his podcasting hero STEVE DAHL! COMEON WGN PWEEEEZE BRING HIM BACK! HELL PUT BOB COLLINS CORPSE IN THERE WITH KATHY AND JUDY BRING IT ALL BACK WAAAH!!@

Come on RFDC! I normally might say Larry should go back to doing Bear reporting but it seems he has become so buddy buddy with the players, all he has is stories about how cool they are with him.
