So, while driving home from the strip club, I tune in yesterday at 10pm to see who's hosting the next show. It's Larry introducing Drinky while getting set to do a transtition converstation. I'm game. I've heard their weird, childish and disturbing transition converstations before and wanted to see if this one would be just as odd. Usually it's talking about hollywood women that they want to bang, Larry making disturbing grunts over these women and Larry talking about weird race stuff while hinting that white people are racist. This one turned out to be that way too. That's not why I'm posting.

Early on in this conversation, Larry got mad at a 224 texter. I forget what it was about but Larry said "Hey stupid, you're wrong. That's why you live in the 224." What? Larry putting down somebody cuz of where they live? I've heard him scold people for putting down poor black people in Chicago. I've heard him hint at racism for people judging Hester for his speech. I read here that he got mad at a caller for calling a Chicago area a ghetto. Something like he hates people calling a place a ghetto without going there. What? Then why are you putting down the 224 area code.

Well, the 224 is Lake County. A mostly white population. Guess it's OK to put down those people. You don't have to live there to put them down, but can't put down a Chicago hood, right Larry? Hmmm. Then I'm thinking of his producers. They make less than 30k. I'm thinking about his buddies Goff and Drinky. They make 35k or so. What does Larry think of them? They live in Chicago, but 35k goes a lot further in Lake County, than it does living in Chicago. So who are the stupid people here? Maybe owning a home in Lake County is better than renting an apartment in Chicago and paying Chicago cost of living. That's actually a calcuated smart decision for a lot of people. Owning cheaply is better than renting in an expensive area. Doesn't sound dumb. Hell, even owning a house in Chicago is a dumb decision when you can do it cheaper in the suburbs for some. Some people think about these things, Larry.

Most of the black players on the Bears that Larry sucks up to grew up poor. Hey Larry, you gonna put down the parents of these players like you did this caller that you don't know? Lake County isn't as poor of an area as where most of the Bears grew up. Where the hell do you think Hester grew up, Larry?

It just shows that Larry is a phony. He scolds callers for putting down poor people but does it himself. He has this thing of fighting racism and gets high and mighty about people judging people when he's talking to a caller. Meanwhile, his sickening contradiction, is he also has to act like his idol Bernstein - rich, smart, and elite - without being rich, smart or elite. That's why we got this comment from him. Remember this call the next time Larry gets on his high horse about callers putting down people. Or when he acts sad for inner city black kids and their struggles. Or when he fights racism or judging people. He showed his true colors on this call. The entire rationale of this comment is insane anyway. The percentage of poor people in Chicago is higher than those in Lake County. Larry lives up to his dumb-ass reputation once again.

224 is the overflow for 847. "That's why you live in Barrington." SHAKE THAT

By me? Maybe. Not in the history of posts here. Sorry. Little drinky tonight. Long winded. The point is it's a contradiction.

Furthermore, there is a tone at the Score - started by Bernstein and parroted by his clones - against the lower middle class and poor people. I find it odd that his clones jump in on this cuz they are in that economic status and probably come from parents from that class. So Bernstein has convinced his clones to hate themselves and their parents. I find that facinating.

I didn't know where it was from. I googled it. It says Lake County.

I also find it odd that the Score takes an editorial tone against the working class and has remotes in the south burbs like every Friday.

What's wrong with a little self-loathing among friends?

Long post by you and it made me giggle. I'm a little drunk too.

I've been listening to B&B lately...I thought you'd be all over something they did but can't remember what it was. Good to see you here tonight.

Yeah, like I said, it's the cell phone overflow for 847. With the exception of, like, Waukegan and Round Lake Beach and stuff, it's not really an undesirable place. Larry's a dolt. I like how he straddles his south side street cred with working at the student station at Homewood-Flossmoor, which some argue is the New Trier of the fine Chicago Southland.

Heard very little of B&B this week. I need you to call out the good BS when you hear it, Spaulding. Lord knows these people won't do it.

Yeah. That was a long post. Didn't realize how long it was when I hit submit.

Derrick Rose for the love of God. Grew up poor. Guess where, Larry? The 312. South side. Where you come from. Gonna put down his parents? Oh wait, he's black and is a prominent athlete in this city. No. You won't. You'll just do it for a random caller from the 224. White area up North. Don't know him. Quick comment. Easy joke. I see. Shake that!!!

Several issues. One, poor is relative. If one grew up happy...."poor" just doesn't fit(it's also a frame of mind ;) ). Two, D. Rose didn't grow up in "The 312". Three, LoHo and the Pretenders from H-F aren't South Siders in the same sense that many of you here aren't from the "city of Chicago".

If you grew up in DuPage/Lake/Will....or even just outside the Chicago city limits, you aren't a Chicagoan, you're a suburbanite...at best(imo). Accept it...little suburban kiddies.

Not the point. My point is Larry was trying to put down somebody from the 224. Hinting that they are poor for living there. I'm saying that lower middle class/poor people live in every area code in Illinois. They live in Chicago as Larry knows. So to make that comment is insane. Larry is making this comment while talking to drinky who makes a modest salary. Drinky lives in Chicago. Plus Larry isn't rich or elite either. He might be 40 or 45k. People in Lake County make that too. And we all know Larry is stupid. Don't act elite if you're not. Larry isn't.

I never get bothered by Bernstein acting elite. He is. It's his clones acting that way that bothers me. They put down their own kind and don't even realize it. It's funny.

No. Shake That makes stupid comment even when there is a high times in sports talk. Larry is dumb ass that tries to be a Bernstein. That's just the bottom line. But his true colors come out cuz he contadicts himself. He's high and mighty when fighting the callers and their attacks on black athletes. But it's OK when he does the same thing to his lowley white callers. Easy targets. Gotta alway kiss the ass of the black Bears. White callers are easy targets with no ramifications for insulting them. That's what it is.

Just not nearly as elite as he thinks he is. My buddy who owns a car wash in Highland Park has a saying, "Everyone is a big man on the North Shore."

Hell, Bernstein grew up in Lake County. The Bulls and Bears live up there. There is a reason these teams moved them up there Larry. Teasm won't admit it, but it was to keep them as far away from your South side as possible. You are aware of that. Funny thing is the players are the biggest danger to the people of Lake County. Including Larry's beloved Chicago Bears. Remember when the police found the hundreds of guns in Tank Johnson's house in Gurnee. Guess he had to protect himself from those dangerous white people of Lake County. You never know when they'll attack. Need all those guns for that potential war.

Good point. Who's to say he didn't move into the city and keep his old number?

I'm getting so tired of these Larry stories. Sports radio's answer to Sean Waltman.

708 covered pretty much all of the suburbs when I lived in Arlington Heights, but then we were split off into 847. The only person in my family who still has a 708 area code is my uncle in Peotone. Really bright guy, but living in Peotone tends to cut you off from certain things: when he found out his new cell phone had a camera, he asked where the film goes in. True story.

Nothing. I just don't think the clones realize what they're doing so it's not really self loathing. It's either ignorance or lack of self awareness. Bernstein does the "I hate these type of people" and "I hate those type of people" with his army nodding their heads in agreement. "Yeah, Dan!!!! We hate those people too!!!!" A lot of times, Bernstein's hatred of "these people" and "those people" are descriptions of Drinky, Goff, Larry and probably members of their families. He's really insulting them and their kind. Like I said, it's quite fascinating.
