Mitch! Mitch! We can't have 2 guys that sound alike at any point on a show together.

I know they are younger guys and they sound comfortable and I even like Joe O, but it's missing the element of common knowledge, specifically common sports knowledge of CURRENT events.

Do I think Kenny W is an assbag and full of shit about his $30 mill comments, yes, but that was 4-5 days ago. This is the best topic we have tonight after a bad Bulls loss and the return of Joakim?

There is that element of younger guy comedy, that I just don't get, I hope it clicks with the under 30 crowd.

These guys have been on a lot lately. I enjoy the casual nature of the show from what I've heard.

As I said, they are comfortable, but they do sound way too much alike.

I remember people complained that Wayne Hagan and John Rooney sounded the same. John Rooney won. Sox fans lost cuz we got Ed Farmer. :( I actually liked Wayne Hagen. I think he does Tampa Bay games now after bouncing around with a few other teams.

He broke up with Joe. :( Rock does Friday nights solo now. Rock came on this board to deny speculation on his twitter account that they weren't getting along and said the decision was made for them. Rock said the bruises on his body came from a bad fall. Hmmmmm.

Connor is Joe's new wife on Saturday nights. Looks like Mitch gave them a chance to sub for Larry tonight.

Mitch is rotating all of his producers until the Sox start up again. They're all getting small bites of the apple.

I agree with this 100% Biggie.....and why does Connor McKnight warrant so much air time? I thought he was just an update guy? I don't really care for his sports thoughts much. I still think that Chip Egan would have been better but Connor sounds like a perfect Score host - Arrogant and full of thoughts that mean nothing.

It's not clicking with the 35 crowd. They're o.k. together. As good as vanilla tastes with more vanilla on top.
You really have to listen to tell them apart...but sometimes it sounds like one guy arguing with himself, which is actually a fun way to listen to them.

Guys, Joe Ostrowski & Connor McKnight DID sub for Laurence Holmes after DePaul got their clocks cleaned at St. John's last night. They didn't do "Hater Wednesday" like LoHo usually does.

As for tonight, Hub Arkush, who teammed with the AP's Jim Litke Tuesday night, flies solo this eve between 6-10p. The schedule at 670thescore.com has "TBA" listed tomorrow night. This much I do know. It won't be Drinky and Goff sits in for Mac tomorrow between 9a-1p with Spiegs. Who plays the role of LoHo tomorrow? Ben Finfer? Maya Gavin? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

I agree that their voices are so similar that it's a little annoying.....but I'd rather listen to two young guys who aren't soured on their imitation glass ceilings at the station aka ABadCola.
I also think they're better than two weird, creepy, Miami Vicey wanna be pairing of Rangey and Webster.

Only knock on Connor so far is when last week he stated that you get 3 points for a win in the NHL...uhoh.

Speaking of similar voices.
Even though I know what he looks like I can't hear Barry Rozner and not picture John Stossel.
I wonder if John Stossel is in love with Steve Stone as well.

John Stossel was a guest on FOX32's "Good Day Chicago" this morning with Corey McPherrin & Anna Davlantes. Stossel has a relatively new show that airs on FOX Business Network, DIRECTV 359 and in HD where available. It turns out John has a stuttering problem. Honest!

They're on now. Yeah. They sound a like. There is a subtle difference. I remember somebody writing it here and it made me laugh cuz it was correct. Joe kind of has that "douchey frat boy" speech pattern. Kind of that slow, cocky, cool, annoyed cadence and tone. We've all met these types.

Frat boy: Dude, one of you guys has to make the beer run tonight.

Joe O: Dude, the drama with the Sox needs to stop now.

They are surprisingly misinformed about the NFL owners vs player situation, given that they are apparently paid to keep up on such things. Image

These guys are probably on food stamps. They're not pulling in big money, nor do they have inside sources or contacts.

I've come to expect this from the Score backups after hearing all of them. They just don't know stuff about sports or anything, really. Mitch just gives us an array of uninformed and uninteresting people.

They beg and cry for air time from Mitch and when they get on the air they don't have a plan. They get started with the remedial sports topics and it's just a race to get the show over with and just collect their $150. They run out of steam, fall off course and start talking about pretty girls, the movies they saw, what they had for lunch and doing the B&B thing where they hate on callers and Chicago sports fans.

It's offensive to hear these backups act like they're better and smarter than their listeners. Trust me guys, you're not.

Just so you know, Joe Ostrowski & Connor McKnight were NOT scheduled to host a show last night on The SCORE. The station's Website had Jason Goff penciled in at 10p last night, but Goff pinch hit for Spiegs earlier in the day on "The Danny Mac Show". JoeO happens to be one of my FB friends, and he mentioned the impromptu show last night on his Facebook page, in addition to his regular duties executive producing Laurence Holmes' evening show on 670 The SCORE.

The site, 670thescore.com, a.k.a. CBSchicago.com, also had LoHo's name listed following "Boers & Bernstein" at 6p tonight. Two problems. One, LoHo & Zach Zaidman are en route to Syracuse to watch DePaul lose to the Orange late tomorrow afternoon and then DePaul's one & only game in the Big East Tournament at New York's Madison Square Garden early next week. Two, Goff was originally scheduled to fill in for LoHo tonight, but he got pressed into service to co-host Mac's show again this morning for a voiceless Spiegs. That means Terry can't say either of his favorite words in show biz come 6p tonight.

Bigfan, in a moment of lucidity, ripped Mark Grote really hard. It was truly one of the recent highlights of the Other Guys folder.

While he is well spoken and seems to be a decent guy, Grote can go do a WLS talk show, because everything out of his mouth is "I saw a story...I don't know where"..."I was going to print this out...but didn't"..."I didn't watch that because I had a dinner to attend".

While the guy seems comfortable on the air, he needs to go away as he seems to talk a ton and say nothing.

Time to let the next guy who wants a career step up.

Funny thing is, I can tell Rosenblum doesn't like the guy from awhile ago and I didn't really see why, but now, when I listen to him, I see why. Never prepared for a show, nothing much to really say, except a ton of words.

NEXT!

That's it, it's over, it's all over
