1) I had my readers/listeners choose my new baseball team. I gave up on the White Sox because they refuse to move into a new direction b\c they want to rely on what worked for one season in 2005. 1 playoff in 5 seasons following a World Series is unacceptable for me as a former White Sox fan.
2) The question was would you have your team spend and lose rather than not spend at all. Meaning if the White Sox lose the division with this record payroll they have, was it worth it even in defeat? Or would you rather have the White Sox spend like they have spent in the past, and continue to do that no matter the success/failures they have?
Of course fans would want their teams to spent, but at what cost? Look at how the Cubs have spent the last 5-7 years.....was it worth it now with a team that is looking to cut payroll and increase revenue yet be the 2nd-3rd best team in the division?
That was my point......
