Really good show today. Great interview with Jake Peavy. I rarely agree with either of them but there is no denying how seriously they take the show and how much effort they put into it. I like the no meatball rule but it will be hard in enforce. The qualifying contest for their fantasy league was funny bad. Maybe not sports jeopardy funny bad but it was close. |

Listening to it this evening on the podcast, very good show. Meat really excels in this role. |

yeah agreed...meatpants knows baseball n it shows.. every time i hear peavy i can't help thinking that he is trying to comvince himself of the things he is saying rather than the listeners. i didn't like that move by kenny... rarely works bringing nl pitcher to al.. got to be other way around. |

It is a very good show. I like the focus. And the stupid nickname game. |

It's much better than listening to Levine ramble about who he went to dinner with and information he can't disclose without selling out his 'sources' up the dial. |

No Speigs or Rozner so Finfer's doing the venerable baseball show solo. Just when the show starts getting on a roll they pull this crap. They couldn't afford to bring in a host who could actually provide some insight? Very disappointing. |

Sports & Torts hosts are available to fill in. |

More painful qualifying for their fantasy league. That league is going to be quite a thing. |

Yeah, and he actually paid attention to baseball these past 48 hours, knowing that Luis Castillo was released by the Mets. I'm impressed. Biscuit must of been out of town this weekend. |

That was a pretty good interview with $pendry. That guy is near impossible to interview because of how incredibly defensive he is but they did a good job of joking around and getting him to lighten up a little. |

What was wrong with the qualifying questions? |

Those that think this show is anything more than average (thus they'll be listening) should keep an attendance sheet throughout the season - last season was a joke. I love how they refer to it as a staple, but not even the hosts care enough to show every 7 days. Anyway, I think you guys are high when you say that meatpants really is in his wheelhouse with baseball. I inadvertently clicked on the stream (the new player just pulls up the last station you listen to....rather than let you bookmark a specific station) a bit ago, and caught the tail end of awful radio that is the Danny Mac Show. meatpants slowly posed a real basebally question, to Trib guy Gonazales, about how INCREDIBLE IT IS THAT THE SOX MAY BREAK CAMP WITH TWELVE (12) PITCHERS. He wondered aloud how often it is that a team, especially in the AL, breaks with 12. Gonzalez quickly explained that the Sox ALWAYS do - especially since '05. GREAT baseball mind there, meatpants, I can see why so many appreciate his geniusness. Blech. |

I did like Speigs dropping a "sweet Jesus" about the Cubs prior to going to break this morning. Nothing like calling upon the Lord you don't believe in to get your point across...... |
