This is just odd and creepy.

Creepy and uncomfortable factor taken up a few notches at 3:45. I don't know who this person is but I couldn't sit through any more of it after about 4:30. Too weird for me. I wonder why the girl never came back for a 2nd episode.

Also, Mike North adding a very special touch of class to the opening ad for a steak house that I assume is trying to cater to a clientele that isn't eating asparagus with their hands.

Nort is wearing an Affliction T-shirt while doing a commercial for a steak house? He doesn't have "guys" who can put him in some nice threads? He reminds me of all the rubes that go to Las Vegas, and can't even put on a collared shirt for dinner. T-Shirts and sandals as far as the eye can see.

can someone tell me how much north is spending out of his own pocket for this horseshit? the sponsors can't be paying much can they? hard to believe that coppock was once the top dog in sports radio after watching this mess. is blondie the new "jen jen"? can I assume the real jen jen turned down pappy? if so, she finally made a good career decision :lol:

Yeah...that was REAL bad.

Where did they film that thing anyway? North's basement? Or a real bar? On the shots of Katherine, most of the bottles look empty. If North REALLY is on the wagon, I can imagine him going to one of his old Edison Park haunts..."Listen, couldya save me some empties? I needs dem for props for da new Coppack show. We gots dis great broad, whose really good lookin' an' better than Jen jen."

I do feel bad for Katherine, though. As posted above, when you look at her Linkedin profile her job before co-hosting the inaccurately named Daily Coppack, was a sales associate at Monsters in the Morning. That had to be the hardest job in the world once North's criminal buddy Hernandez was out of the picture.

I bet she's buds with Jen Jen--that's how she got the Monsters in the MOrning gig, likely.

Please, Katherine, I don't like to see a young person ruin their future--RUN FOR THE HILLS. Keep away from these people.

North used to call O'Donnell a stumbling alkie...Chet wanted O'Donnell as a lead columnist....North's sinking like a rock was predictable.....the others not so much...but this is pathetic.

OMG! :shock: :shock: I just actually watched the whole 14:11 video of the oldster,Chet with the young blond. This has to be one of the most disturbing pieces of local media I ever watched. The part where Chet touches her and she says "Hands over ther,buddy" is hysterically bad local media. I actually thought the girl wasn't that bad but the whole thing looked really forced:

Tell you what,this young blonde,Katherine Saxon, is actually very intelligent. She is "up" on a number of subjects and is very smooth. The problem is Chet keeps leering at her and it looks like he is trying to impress her instead of the other way around. I think I'll nickname her the "anti-Jen".

Katherine Saxon graduated in 2009 from Arizona State University with a degree in Theatre and also studied TV/Radio and Marketing. Katherine began carving out her career in Chicago on the sports TV simulcast "Monsters in the Morning" on Comcast SportsNet in 2009. Her role was the "Lady in the Morning," where she bantered with the hosts, Mike North and Dan Jiggetts. She also served as production assistant and facilitated communication between the hosts, director and the production staff. Katherine also was responsible for sponsorships on the show; she created and facilitated advertising packages for Degree Deodorant and Real Time Sports Bar and Grill. She also served as the Sporting Events Assistant for Entertainment Partners with Joe Buck and Tim McCarver for Major League Baseball on FOX.

In 2010 Katherine became the Creative Director, Guest Booker and Sales Associate for the Chicago Sun Times column "I'm Right, I'm Right," by Mike North and Dan Jiggetts. In addition, she began work as a Traffic Reporter/Producer for Shadow Broadcasting/Metro Networks, providing traffic reports and information for radio and television affiliates in multiple media markets.

In 2011 she worked as a freelance reporter, where she wrote and produced a video for the Chicago Grand Chefs Gala benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Recently, she added Co-Host with Chet Coppock on the Internet based show "Coppock Time" on the Mike North website Northtonorth.com. This show focuses on current events, news, pop culture, and sports. Katherine has reached the semi-finals for CBS2 Chicago's Traffic Reporter auditions and hopes to make to the finals!

It can't be all that much, cuz like, while I *do* figure that the Youtube page views don't count the people who have watched it on northtonorth.com, there can't be more than a few hundred people watching these.... how does the MNEN make money, unless Pappy is paying for it out of pocket?

hahaha omfg...chet...wtf happened? You were the UNDISPUTED KING of Chicago sports in the late 80s, now this!?!?

This is the type of shit that happens when you intertwine your fate with Mike North. I think Chet could have gotten a 'dave baum' type of gig here or there or even retained his dignity as one of the sports talk radio legends of Chicago like Wally Phillips. But he got mixed up with North and who the hell is going to touch anything or anybody associated with North.

I hope chet finds the light. I don't think he is a scumbag and is just desperate these days to find some kind of gig. He should have never passed on that National Sports Machine gig in the 80s, shit, wasn't George Michael (R.I.P) still doing that show somewhere some 25 years later?
