Amy Freeze is set to talk some soccer and more on Thursday's ''Sports & Torts'' at noon on talkzone.com. Also scheduled are basketball greats Jack Twyman and Frank Ramsey.

Seriously dude: 90% of the people on the board are going to give you crap for covering soccer. The minority of us who actually like soccer are going to give you shit for having Amy-fucking-Freeze as your soccer correspondent. What the hell? Is she going to talk abut the Champions League quarterfinals?!?!

What's her take on Schalke's chances against Inter? Can Spurs succeed in shoving Mourinho's head up his ass?!?! Can't wait to hear Amy's thoughts on these things....

Also, tune in tomorrow when my guests will be WGN's Jim Ramsey who'll be talking about cross-country ballroom dancing and Dutch Sternaman (via seance) to discuss the current state of professional lacrosse.

Now it's easy to see why Sports and Torts has more listeners than many shows on WSCR, WMVP and WIND.
Talk about "can't miss radio!!!" (Or "can't miss Internet" or whatever the hell the millions of listeners refer to it as)

Is she even still on the sidelines for the Fire? She wasn't for their first game this year, but it didn't seem like a Chicago broadcast.

The Fire's match vs. FC Dallas last weekend may have been on Comcast SportsNet, but I can tell you for sure it wasn't a CSN or MY50 production locally. The game was actually produced by FOX Sports Southwest, complete with their graphics and the announcers were the ones from FC Dallas.

As for Amy Freeze, I think when FOX32 decided not to renew her contract as Chief Meteorologist last month, it also meant you won't see her anymore on MY50's coverage of the Fire either. MY50 happens to be owned these days by the same people that own FOX32, and that's FOX Television Stations.

Who is announcing for the Fire this year anyway? Hubener and Doran were awful last year. Admittedly I don't watch too many of their games, but Hubner--especially--would constantly do things like confuse goal kicks with free kicks, talk about the "goal box" and all sorts of other nonsense.

Hawk Harrelson could ramble on about Carl Yastrzemski over the game and it would be more insightful than what they had going on last year.
