The guy who took over for Cowley on with Rongey, just cracking me up. The guy can barely talk or maybe he can talk and chooses not to, but as the beat reporter for the Sox he is on the air to update fans with what is going on and the guy has nothing to say! Rongey pulling info from the guy as if he is a regular caller who forgot the topic he called in for.

Just adds to the Rangers legend of quality content he gets to work with! :D

Brutal interview.

It's not that it was a brutal interview, if it was just one time, I wouldn't have even said anything or even cared, but this is a guy who is going to be on weekly? or more?

Didn't hear it, but he certainly has huge shoes to fill. What will we do without the constant "brahs" and "I'm great at video games"-type comments? Real pro that Cowley. He's Marriotti-like in his ability to insert himself into a (non) story.

Don't know about this Moose Skowron fella, but a scarecrow would be a better listen as any sort of "sports expert". Good riddance, Cowley. Brah.

We all know Cowleys biggest fan is cowley and he wasn't so comfortable when he started talking on the air. Not that I think it is a real skill, it just takes time to get used to it.

Once again, let's spell the man's name right if we are to talk about him. His name is DARYL VAN SCHOUWEN, and he replaced Joe Cowley as the Sun-Times' new White Sox beat writer this season. Although Cowley still maintains a presence on 670 The SCORE as the sports talker's White Sox Insider, Joe's doing a lot more than baseball as a columnist for the newspaper. I'm not sure about you, but Daryl had previously covered the prep sports scene until Joe moved over recently.

I know it's just a few days into the new season, but it's unclear if Daryl or the Trib's Mark Gonzales will be the "Inside the Park" guest with the Ranger on road pregame shows like Joe had done the last couple of years on 670 The SCORE & the Chicago White Sox Radio Network.
