Cochrane just played the Marshawn Lynch interview from yesterday and commented after that Lynch should order the Rosetta Stone course for English

Why is Cochran on the phone for the 5:00 hour of the show and not in studio until 6:00? Is there some reason he can't to the studio at 5:00 with the other 15 people who are part of the show?

The times I do listen, I wonder about that and why Andrea Darlas gasps so much.

Because he can't be arsed to show up to work on time and Jimmy DeCastro doesn't see fit to fire him for it. Hey, he's just like Steve Dahl! except not interesting!

Perfect time slot for Cochran was 1-4 so that he was awake, present, and able to be preempted by the Cubs.

Sadly, I heard that. Anyone else hear the late Saturday afternoon tryout he had on the Score a few years ago when he was unemployed? It was pretty weird. Lot of glad-handing of producers he didn't know.

Cochran represents everything that's terrible about talk radio: lame comedy, forced laughter, and vanilla subject matter. The hat trick of crap.

To me, he's just doing a really bad Letterman impression.

Figured he was just big in the over 65 crowd on WGN....and if I ever heard him it was due to the car radio being on a Cubs game and then him.

Nick D. and Garry Lee was a good WGN show. That was my first exposure to Wilco.

I never thought of him that way, but I think you're right.

Their political thoughts are as opposite as you can get.

I enjoyed their show a lot, too.

I called in and had a Captain Janx (sp) from the Stern show prank phone call. The guest was some 80 year old dude who was talking about World Fairs. I called in, asked him about Seattle's, and did a "Douchebag says what?" Old dude replies, "What?" and Garry Lee did the WGN shuffle to get me off the air. I'm laughing as I type this. Yes, I'm an ahole.

I meant in terms of his pattern of talking, the audible gasps for comedic timing, etc.
