A WSCR Memo
FR: Paul Agase
TO: WSCR Team
DT: July 20, 2006
RE: SPRING 2006 ARBITRON
Well done to the entire staff. These are some great highlights in this Spring 2006 Arbitron.
Most notably, we have our largest cume ever: 449,800.
The combination of our creative marketing approach and an exciting team provided a surge of new listeners.
Our personalities in every daypart converted those listeners into average quarter hour ratings . . .
WAY TO GO!!!
We have a plan . . . and it's working to keep it up!
P.S. In response to MVP GM Jim Paster’s quote in the Chicago Tribune on 7/19 calling the Score a “one-trick pony” and they “dominate sports radio 6a-7p” . . . here are the old & new numbers that count:
M-F · A25-54 · 6A-7P
WSCR 1.6 2.3 +44%
WMVP 2.2 2.3 +5%
As you can plainly see, I’m not sure what “he” is looking at?
thanks, pa

Creative marketing? Do you mean that 20 straight minutes of commercials every hour?

Exciting team? Yeah, the MNMS and Murph really pumps my nads.

Its a bunch of shit but what else is he gonna say.

"Who the F-Uck are we kidding. We cant beat a station with natiional shows in the city we broadcast from. F-UCK! My days are numbered. Maybe I should give Mac a call and see if MVP is hiring."

This is typical mumbo jumbo BS that they are trained to say. Fact is, most arent fooled by it. I'd be willing to bet his own people arent fooled by it either.

Aint that right Matt A.?

Another thing about this guy is that he seems to invent a new word with each memo. He is a card carrying member of Corporatese R Us. He may have the grammar skills of a 9th grader, but Webster would be proud of his lexicon. Today's new word: "Daypart".

It is a radio term.

Nice to know Agase knows how to spell his competing GM's name. That's like Ken Williams writing a letter to Jim Hendree.
